No won't be the leaves Saskia...I'm hoping it's related to her teething...poor girl had her pain killers actually went in the cave bed to get comfy...Charlie has just thrown her out typical brother...keeping an eye on her she's a strong feisty little madam.Hugs to you both. Could it be from some sap on the leafy twigs she has been bringing in? I hope the painkillers have started to work right away. Poor little baby. She and Charlie are so fortunate to have you.
ust seen your news...really exciting and understand the urgency to organise stuff. Try your best not to get too stressed. Hope you get a little nap to make up for the lack of sleep. I often cant sleep if something big is going on. Take things gently.
2 boys waterworks issues with Amber, one of the last dogs, put us off females.. Debate now is over names. Bill and Ben is 1 option and Chase and Zuma the other optionsI hope it does for you too.
Are you and Julie planning to get two girl puppies, or two boys, or one of each? I especially liked that butterscotch-colored one with the Springer-like coat.
2 boys. Debate now is over names. Bill and Ben is 1 option and Chase and Zuma the other options.
Chase and Zuma are from Paw Patrol - grandchildren favourite. Sandy sounds good - my late father had a dog called Sandy.Bill and Ben are good dog names. Chase sounds like your post about the deer adventures in the Forest.
My long-ago yellow Lab nephdog, Sandy, had a yellow brother named Nugget.
Chase and Zuma are from Paw Patrol - grandchildren favourite. Sandy sounds good - my late father has a dog called Sandy.
Cereals fruit juice processed foods/grains with lots of starch/sugar Saskia...I think many of us have done it given the family what we assumed was a healthy diet...no more cereal here when the girls/family arrive in the holidayswonder what kids' diets have been like in the UK for the past generation or so?
@gennepher That panic buying is awful. Are you in an at risk area?
Sounds awful gennepher not surprised you got no sleep...bloody stupid man who is in your house is none of his business could it possibly have been some silly joke whichever it was despite the anxiety you handled it correctly & didn't give him any information. This morning I was exhausted
I got absolutely no sleep last night. Not from the cat who slept soundly all night. It was me. So I forgot to take my fbg.
Yesterday I was due a delivery from Amazon of 3 parcels. The guy came up the path, I had not seen him before. He just had one parcel in his hand, not the other two. What is your name he asks. Blank Blank (substitute my name for this), I say. Are you sure he asks. My name is Blank Blank I say. Amazon guy says, is Blank Blank (my name) your daughter. I repeat Blank Blank is me. He is holding my parcel tight to his chest. He just looks at me.
Something doesn't feel right here. But Blank Blank is your daughter the Amazon guy says again. I repeat Blank Blank is me. I don't like the way he is looking at me in the eyes. He tries again and again to get me to say Blank Blank (my name) is my daughter. (By the way my daughter's name is not same as mine)
By this time I am not repeating myself again. Nor am I giving away any info at all. I just look at him back in his eyes.
He looks at me in the eyes, and finally says you have two more parcels, and goes back to his van at the other side of the road, and a few minutes later comes back with the other two slim packets which would easily go through the letter box, so I cannot understand why he did not bring the three packets over in the first place. But he still holds them close to his chest. And tries again. He says my name again. Blank Blank (my name) is your daughter isn't she? I simply repeat Blank Blank is me. I am sh*tting myself at this point because this is not normal. He still hugs the three parcels close to his chest.
I am thinking at this point that I don't want my parcels...
I was about to back up to my kitchen door, I wasn't turning my back on him. But I was scared at this point.
He looks at the parcels again, and repeats again Blank Blank (my name) IS your daughter, he says. Then hands me the parcels. I back up to my kitchen door, get in and lock it quickly.
I open the parcels. Two have stickers in which is for my Postcrossing postcards. So they are very small. The other was a couple of jars of Almond Butter. But they were badly damaged and spilt and leaked their contents all over the inside of the packet, it was just the Amazon brown card round them, not a box. That made me feel ill, especially given the weird nature of Amazon delivery guy. The badly damaged/destroyed Almond butter jars made me feel sick to my core.
There was a stalking incident in my past which went on for years and was horrendous, with a fatal outcome. He always said he would find me. So, the behaviour of this Amazon guy pitched me back into the past.
So last night I was bolt upright in my bed and couldn't sleep or relax at all...
This morning I was exhausted, so no painting. I nearly deleted my online presence everywhere.
I cannot do a watercolour painting today. But I felt able to do a digital type painting between a photo of my front garden and putting it through various photo and painting apps. That was soothing to do that.
So here is my digital painting.

Very sad for all the people who died prematurely. They didn't deserve that.I'll post it again hopefully this will work

I do hope little Lola feels a lot better very soon and that it is something easy to treat. Thanks PM just taking my nurses hat off first dose of pain killer given its an oral suspension so straight in the mouth with the syringe...her little face when she tasted it...you'd think they could make it mouse flavoured at least!
Just remember you have to shout these names out in public. We had a cat called Sunshine and neighbours found it quite amusing each morning when we were in the garden shouting Sunshine when it was pouring with rain. Mind you we don't learn as we named our Labrador Moet.2 boys waterworks issues with Amber, one of the last dogs, put us off females.. Debate now is over names. Bill or Ben would be fine in public I think. Another skilful piece of artwork kindly shared. Thank you for reminding me - @Ryhia how did the day go with eye test and review?Just remember you have to shout these names out in public. We had a cat called Sunshine and neighbours found it quite amusing each morning when we were in the garden shouting Sunshine when it was pouring with rain. @HarryBeau what a worrying time that was for your girl kitten, sounds like it's under control though, hope medical history comes through for her quickly and all is OK.
@SaskiaKC exciting news indeed, I'm sure your move will go smoothly.
@Ryhia how did you appointment go?
@gennepher sorry you had such a scare, some Amazon delivery people are most odd, still can't get over the ones who keep leaving parcels in our recycle bin, very strange. Digital art was interesting although I have to say it is almost as scary as you Amazon encounter, must have been influenced by it. Like the result and experiment though.
So I have added to yesterday's painting, still lots to do but thinking about it before adding more detail. A4 have worked on it for about 1 hour 30mins this afternoon. Will probably finish it later and post the completed painting Wednesday.... thumbnail is how it finished yesterday as a reminder.

Or he'll come knocking on your window every morning like the homing pigeon we used to feed. Still she was a beautiful bird black head with a black tufts, white body, black tail feathers, obviously a show bird, neighbor called her Alfie after Sister Alphonse, the local community nun we used to see wandering around the village. She was quite distressed when she first came but we were unable to catch her read the leg ring. After a while, Alfie managed to find herself a boyfriend and it was lovely to see them cooing together and keeping each other warm during the winter, mind you as lovers go he was a bit of a philanderer. Of course feeding the two of them regularly we ended up with a posse, it became like Alfred Hitchcock's film "The Birds" on a morning. Had to stop feeding her eventually and she sloped off.@PenguinMum just spoke to the RSPB (just down the road from my house) they say it's okay to feed Mr Fuzz but it may encourage him (or her) to come back but extra food is needed ...and wild bird feed is fine any kind of grain...they say the choice is up to you whether to feed him or not I think you did the right thing hopefully he's got a little stamina & had flown off to a safer location.
