What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

with that middle bit being a spoof, it does rather question the whole thing.

snopes reported that.

the premise is you can check for damage CAUSED by an event (pneumonia) before the event (pneumonia) actually happens..by holding ones breathe, is fake

i thought i posted here, re that, the idea is fake, BUT the idea of self checking each morning might well be the best way forward so we DO have a little heads up that today, we do feel under the weather or have a cold etc,
THOSE are the days when maybe wearing a mask would be great protection for others...maybe.

god bless us all.

Do you watch Dr Who? Ref the teapot.

Thanks @jjraak

Saskia does this come in any other colours?

The basic walking suit comes in just the one color. There is however a deluxe trekking suit that comes in a variety of colors:

There are two styles designed for dog-walking:

Designers around the globe are busy designing uniforms for the athletes of the next Summer Olympics:

Absolutely fizzing about the SACN report. I'm not alone on this.
I absolutely agree with you about the SACN.

I think NHS cardiologist Dr Aseem Malhotra was absolutely spot-on when he said: “It’s clear the Scientific Advisory Committee of Nutrition are not fit for purpose and cannot be trusted to give independent dietary advice. To recommend Type 2 diabetics should make up half their calories from starch is in effect poisoning them. This committee is putting the interests of the food industry ahead of public health which is a national scandal that needs to be exposed and challenged. The totality of evidence reveals a low carbohydrate diet is most effective for Type 2 diabetics.”

Managed to spend half a hour on painting, still not finished but now tree and some more detail worked on. Not sure what to do with foreground, wanted Slate tip but would also like some water to lighten it so thinking about it. I will post the completed picture Sunday although a busy day with choir rehearsal. A4 watercolour I have included thumbnail of how it was looking yesterday.

Thank you, @Muddy Cyclist that is beautiful. I love how you do the reflections.

FRANCE just now

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-51886497
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has ordered the closure of all non-essential public locations from midnight (23:00 GMT Saturday) in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The measure applies to restaurants, cafes, cinemas and nightclubs, as well as "non-essential" businesses

so italy, spain, France ...expect Germany later .

@OldButBold I just read this in Dorothy L. Sayers' "Strong Poison" --
"Nothing goes so well with a hot fire and buttered crumpets as a wet day without and a good dose of comfortable horrors within."

Wow. Brilliant move, Italy. Close your airports, then bring in medics from the "front lines" in Wuhan, put them in a public square, stick microphones in their faces and let the spokesman take off his mask.
I just hope he doesn't sneeze.

I would be very uneasy also. Very difficult when the rest of the family still think that it's ok to go.

I watched it occasionally when Tom Baker was the Doctor, and again when "Tristan Farnon" was the Doctor.
Oh I loved All Creatures Grwat and Small but I never really watched Dr Who until Jodie Whittaker became the first Dr Who. Can I strongly recommend the Rosa Parks episode if you can access it.

Thanks. I saw that last year when there was a Dr Who marathon on TV.
