What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I certainly don't know what I'm doing when it comes to commenting on painting, but I think your "nice and loose" description is apt. And I like this one very much. Thank you for posting it.

Thank you. I'm glad you posted that because it looks like the road to where I want to move, and I've begun to give up that it will ever happen. I'm glad you posted a more positive thought that goes with the picture.
Please dont give up on your move. Everyone trying to move anywhere is like you in limbo atm and I dont see any reason why your move wont happen when it can. Hug for any frustration and disappointment, perfectly reasonable. Keep your dreams alive.

@SaskiaKC your posted pic of the cat licking made me laugh. Whenever a visitor used to come to our house one or other of the girls would engage in that very unladylike behaviour. I would have to apologise for their bad manners.

@jjraak - no risk of offending there. I have suffered with PTSD (it was at one time called battle shock) and depression for a very long time. My schemas, learned over a period of years help me get through stuff and I think that I am in a better place In my head during this isolation period than a lot of people.
I look at things, unless the black dog visits, like a train spotter - just sit there and watch it all go past and try and enjoy the journey. Where did the train start, where is it going to - everyone on the train got on a while ago and were all fine - when the train pulls into the station sometime in the future - they will all get off and get on with their day. Some will be happy and some will be sad but the day is still there.
Stay well.

I like the sky and fence in this pic.
The colours in the foreground act as a contrast with the blues.

I tried a new sketch app...SketchesProApp
Two hours trying to work it out. Frustrations. But created a picture. Then I got a an important email. Came out of the app to check the email...went back to it...two hours work lost, my picture had gone. Other apps automatically save the picture you have drawn/painted and it's still there when you come back to it. But not this app...grrrr

So I had to do another picture, this second one is a half hour quickie with it, so it's frustrating...I will try again tomorrow...

Thank you. I was just thinking of you earlier and telling myself I am not the only one; you, too, are probably feeling really frustrated and in limbo about your hoped-for and planned move. I am sorry you are in this holding pattern.

I know that a lot of people at my age -- 67 -- have just retired from work and are beginning new lives in new places, and I'd been looking on my move as starting a new life in a new place.

Even the chaplain here, when I asked her about putting something upbeat and hopeful in our newsletter, about prayer and plagues, said everybody is afraid because this came out of nowhere, and her biggest worry seemed to be that with all the handwashing her hands will look like an old woman's. I laughed and said, then what about MY hands? Actually mine look just fine for their age.

I would have felt like throwing the computer across the room. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr indeed.

But I do love the picture you posted. And the bird reminds me of one of my favorite birds, a brown thrasher.

What a nice read. Thank you for posting it for us all to see.

It will happen saskia x

Ouch what a terrible thing to happen to you, think I would have given up, good on ya to fight back, well done. I love those stylistic clods across the sun.

We came out to clap tonight. Our next door neighbor is in bits. 16 hours a day wearing PPE in ICU is taking its toll. For goodness sake, stay indoors this weekend and encourage others to do the same. Terry Waites was chained in isolation for nearly five years - it’s not much to ask. Just look at the damage on the faces of our front line nurses.

This morning I meant to thank you for the reminder that today is Maundy Thursday. Then I got sidetracked, and forgot.
Now I have just remembered again, because I had to wake the KittenCat so I could get up and go out. I looked her over and said, "I see you survived your foot-washing." I had had to wash her paws because she'd jumped up onto the mattress which I had just sprayed with lavender oil.

So I spread the comforter out on the mattress to protect her paws while the lavender oil dried and we have both been lying on it for the past hour or so, I reading, she sleeping.
So anyway, what with the foot-washing I remembered that today is Maundy Thursday and I remembered your post of this morning.
So thank you.
And I invite you to sing with me "Go To Dark Gethsemane" which is one of my favorite hymns even though American hymnals seem to leave out the last and best verse.
