What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

And when comparing the LC/LCHF/Keto people on here,
looking, learning, making great efforts to moderate their sugars, foods & BG levels.
it more like the SAS.
Yes - I like that. I have never been compared to the SAS - but of course all of us on this forum are part of an elite squad in the fight against diabetes.

Your watercolours are coming on in leaps and bounds , good light lots of depths nice composition, really like it. Where is the drawing of?

100% cotton paper is so nice to use, easy to remove paint and holds the colour I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Stirring up all these scary memories will any of us sleep tonight?
Well my sleep was rubbish, nothing whatsoever to do with anything scary but woke up around 1:15 a.m and no way was I able to get back to sleep. Have been feeling a little off for a few days, think its hay fever. I finally gave up trying and went downstairs, had a cup of hot water, watched some TV and went back to bed around 4:00 a.m. So my question is do I still consider my FBG when I got up around 08:00am as being FBG or not? These measured 5.2. A marked improvement on what I have been seeing recently.
Loving your artwork today I feel it draws me in to the scene but it's left to my imagination what that scene will be. It would make a wonderful as a book cover.
Not much of a change in reality Krystyna...I did de-clutter on Wednesday felt great doing it but moved lots of stuff upstairs mybe I'll tackle that today
We've just cleared out a cupboard this morning, opportunity to give it a good clean, stuff that came out has been put in a bag and put in a different cupboard. Now the problem here is that the stuff is going to stay where its been put for the foreseeable and then when we want it we will forget where we have put it. Oh the joys of getting older.

Looking good @Muddy Cyclist

I found the same shopping this morning. Wales is still supposed to be in lockdown mode. But it seems business as usual, none of the social distancing. And I am the only alien wearing a mask...

Thank you for the painting compliment @geefull

I love the watercolour. Absolutely brilliant. You are amazing. You are learning a lot this way.

And the pencil sketch, that is stunning. Watercolour washes sound a good idea on it.

Have been really disappointment with my homemade soups for ages because I can't add onions anymore as they raise my BS too much.

But today I made the most delicious soup I have ever made. I couldn't find my frozen spinach so used frozen brussel sprouts instead. I added them to some kale, broccoli, and chicken bone broth. Mr K had just roasted a chicken so I added some chicken fat and threw in some salt and Levi Roots Caribbean seasoning.

It was so lovely - almost creamy. Definitely one of my favourite meals. BS tonight 4.4

Fbg 6.2
Temp 36.1

Watching the stars in the night sky.
Then dawn broke and some cloud cover.
Then as the day lightened up, it is clearing.
So now some blue skies.
Going out to paint with pastels in a minute.

Catch you later.
Take care.

Good morning all. Fbg of 4.8 which is one reading one morning and nothing more. Approaching 5 years LC and I'm not convinced I have worked out where or if this WOE fits in with optimum health and functionality. Salmon and salad yesterday is my comfort zone. Red meat, dairy, downplaying of fibre, finger in the ear over cholesterol and many needing/using supplements give me concerns. My bg control seems to be an independent variable from wellbeing and functionality. BG is definitely best well controlled but the big picture is what matters to me. I was/am hoping the libre helps me mesh the two. The evening meal last night and a protein snack late on worked yesterday. but today or tomorrow probably (almost definitely) not. Have a safe, joy/pleasure/good enough for now filled day.

Quick question for those in the know.
Before breakfast FBG 6.1 ( Darned DP)
Two hours and ten mins later BG is 4.4
Been pottering about watering plants etc. No heavy work yet.
Am not used to such a low number.
How low is too low?
Anything under 4 is classed as a hypo x

Karen, this really depends on whether you’re an insulin user or taking blood glucose reducing medication. For those using diet or metformin only, dropping below 4 needn’t be a problem. Personally I’m in the 3s reasonably often with no issue whatsoever. If it drops into the low 3s, I may be extremely hungry, but my trusty liver will kick in to raise things a bit, or I just bring my next meal forward.

7.30am FBG 5.9 that would be very late dinner and Panna Cotta. Surprised it isnt higher. After yesterday didnt try waiting to see if it went down, just had smaller than usual breakfast. Nut granola and coffee.
thanks to @karen8967 for information, and to @Goonergal for clarifying.

Good news for me. My sister says she is better.
If you are thinking that was quick- apparently she has been ill for about three weeks. The last time we spoke ( two weeks ago) she didnt mention that she was ill.

Everyone,have a good day.get/stay well,be safe.

Hypoglycemia, also known as low blood sugar, is a fall in blood sugar to levels below normal.

And just for clarity it is medically defined as a blood sugar level < 3.9 and not really a matter of opinion.

Good morning everyone from another day in the azure and Blue Savannah in the blindingly dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of separate dinner menus (one with egg fried rice and one with courgette noodles) as well as a smashing chip shop curry sauce recipe curtesy of Tom Kerridge staggered home at 4.9 this am

Yesterday, chimp pointed out that Tony, who hailed from Sheffield could have just flown to Dallas where there is an obvious road, the US-287, with signposts. It goes through a lonely city called Wichita Falls where hats can be hung and then straight to where Sweet Marie waits for him. Am I getting stir crazy?

Have the very best day that you can, sun bathing recommended to Stop your skin going all lockdown-dandruff. Tip of the week - if you wear the same pair of jeans for a couple of weeks, they go all baggy and it looks as though you have lost weight.
Koffy time.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who think one hat fits all in the diabetic world.

An interesting 5.5 this morning, I shall have to be very careful with my insulin because I have a busy active day planned.

How are you all coping out in the world, is your fuel consumption down to 1 month per gallon? Are you artists getting your paint delivered by tanker?

If and one or several posters are in the northeast are you going back into lockdown?
Better go now before I offend someone, and also Mrs J is stirring in her pit / lair and will shortly be demanding I make her morning tea.
Have a great day and don't let the doom merchants ( media ) bring you down.

Glad your sister is improving @SlimLizzy
