Good morning everyone on a cloudy day with hints of possibilities in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of stuffed courgettes came in at 4.6 this am.
Another of our favorite places in Wales is Tryfan, just up the road from Capel Curig and one of the most recognied peaks in the UK - A couple of big rocks on top called Adam and Eve where you can jump the gap - I don’t think that I would try nowadays, still.
Hope everyone manages to have a good day. Koffy is ready.

6.2 this morning and it looks like the sun is trying its best to draw me outside. Lung function results from first thing are still below where they should be coming in at 70% of my know best. By midday, it does pick up reaching 90% so I'm just taking it steady
Enjoy the day
Another painting on the horizon then @Alien Aspie ?
That would keep you quiet, cool, calm, and collected while you wait until midday...
I have just started finding these layers therapeutic, not stressful like I did to start with...I was ready to sling the layers out of the window...so thanks again for that video link.
Thank you - I was trying for less detail and an element of cold - the last time we went up Tryfan it was cold and had snowed. Main brush was Industrial -stone wall with a background of Organic - clay both of which came with Procreate. This has the effect of being done on crinkled/crumpled up rice/tissue paper which I have done in the past. This reminds me of that @dunelm
Very effective. I like it.
@SlimLizzy - we don’t have cooking apples - just three varieties of eating apples including Egremont Russett but don’t really eat apples any more. I just mix them up, chop, drop into water with a big splash of lemon juice, give them a wash and then pop in the slow cooker for a couple of hours, skins and all. Once they have broken down and cooled, two big tablespoon portions into freezer bags. No other ingredients, just wet apples - should work fairly well with your cider apples. I would be making hard cider with cider apples - I don’t have a juicer but have done it with my vita-mix blender and poured the pulp into a jelly bag/muslin/pillow case to get at the juice: https://andhereweare.net/how-to-make-hard-cider-from-whole-apples/23.08.2020
6.50am FBG 6.0
Three days in a row.
@dunelm jealous of your Apple sauce. Or more accurately that you have proper cooking apples. We still have thirteen cider apple trees.( Told MrSlim he has either cut down one too few - or one too many) but have so far found little use for them. Apple sauce might be possible. But no apple jelly this year, as the one tree with semi-decent cooking apples had its blossom destroyed by the storm and high winds that followed.
Have already taken a dozen 40l bags of apples to the tip.
I have five potential works sitting in the app waiting to go but they aren't really inspiring me. So I shall wait for my Muse to get out of bed and do her job
Happy to hear you're getting to grips with layers, like you I found them hard going back in photoshop but now I tend to think of graphic work as 'how many layers'. I am a stickler for renaming though as I can't remember what they were for on the fly.

Will be making Apple sauce, more or less as you describe, like the addition of lemon juice, might steal that idea.@SlimLizzy - we don’t have cooking apples - just three varieties of eating apples including Egremont Russett but don’t really eat apples any more. You take care @HarryBeauMorning...the busiest few days I've had no idea where the time has gone...masses of paperwork to do I really need to make a start on it...a beautiful day sun is out but we have a cool breeze in the background...masses of posts I've missed will try to catch up over the next few days...ooh this coffee tastes good more brewing...shall I listen to the news...maybe later...woke to a 6.3...keep safe everyone.
I am just starting to see sections of a painting as potential layers @Alien Aspie I am experimenting now on that.
So far, I am remembering on the fly...
But if I recall you had 35 layers (or something) on one painting, and that might prove a problem on the fly, especially if one were to come back to that at a later point of time. And if you also had multiple works on the go....
Great progress on weight loss and fbg. You must feel rightly pleased with yourself. Careful you don't go too far or Mr K will be reporting you missing4.7 this morning. Trousers felt suddenly looser around waist so jumped on scales again and have lost another 3/4lb in a couple of days.
Have decided to keep going with the IF and limiting to 1400 calories as I am thinking that maybe - if the inches keep going off my waist - it will help my fasting blood sugars. Only problem is that I am bordering on becoming too slender which not a good look for someone of my.advanced years.
One of the things I came across in procreate is that you can share layers. Haven't tried it yet but it opens possibilities. If you drew something on a layer that you would like in a totally different painting you can apparently share it. Found a link for it and will try to suss it out
https://procreate.art/handbook/layers/layers-share
That is interesting @Alien Aspie
I have just figured out how to put layers in a stack (accidentally) in the gallery, but had no idea what to do with them or how to make them useful. And that is how I found I had some hidden layers, and I have no idea how I made it hidden or how to un-hide it, but I worked round it!!!!
I can see that you would want a layer for another painting, and I was racking my brains on how to do something like that. Consequently I keep pressing buttons I didn’t mean to press
But then, I say to myself, ‘Clever girl that would be a great effect for...’
If only I knew how I did it in the first place
That would be useful sharing layers...
I am gennepher difficult to believe we're almost in September the time is just flying...I am going to make an effort to go out problem is I have got so comfortable at home...no need to get properly dressed for work or shopping...doing most of my work through Microsoft Teams the food shopping online...even the cats food is delivered...so tomorrow maybe just a short walk to our post office or a little drive.
