Good afternoon@gennepher. I have been having the flu jab for years at my GP surgery and have never been told that it takes 14 days to become effective but hubby has been told this in the past when he had his flu jab at the local pharmacy. I had mine a few weeks ago with no after effects at all. Best wishes.
Apologies AA if only I'd known
I was not asked to self isolate after jab. They did ask if I was allergic to eggs as its incubated in eggs.Just come back from having the flu jab, after being unexpectedly offered one this weekend (not at my doctors surgery, but at another location). I was ushered along a corridor and told to wait. Then told to go to this room. A nurse came to me. It was by an open door to outside, which had a high chain link fencing on the other side of the path. I was jabbed. Given a clear face mask, and told to wear that instead of my mask which she told me was not good for my asthma. She said mine was too close to my face and nose for breathing...
I have never seen this nurse before, she does not know me. There were a few names highlighted in yellow on her list, and my name was highlighted in yellow.
None of this malarkey about having to sit down and wait after the flu jab for 15 minutes or so in case you have anaphylactic shock. I was chucked out of the door into the fresh air, but not before being told I had to self isolate for two weeks because of the flu jab, and because it doesn't take for 14 days. And I could become very ill and catch the flu in that 14 days. And because of Wales and Covid.
I had no prior warning I was to self isolate because of the flu jab. I didn't have any fresh food shopping in. I had been going to do it after the jab. I was out anyway, so got fresh food in. Glared evilly at anyone who tried to invade my 2metre space. And came home.
Has anyone else who had the fu jab been told to self isolate for 14 days?
Don't worry £192 later the door is now fixed (ouch)I shall post it later when I have finished the other chores
What me! What have I done wrong?"Book him, Dano.."
"He's bang to rights, guv."
"Yeah, put him in the cell with Muddy...."

Another winner, mysterious though, like it.Fbg...I forgot with going for the flu jab...
Sitting by the open front window waiting for the Cat's dementia tablets to be delivered. I need the window open to be able to see the delivery vehicle. Package was supposed to be delivered by two minutes past midday, but it wasn't. It's now 14:02
Had to put Popeye in potting shed because he was determined to escape to outside.
I wish they would hurry up...tracking says Popeye's tablets are still in transit but not where they are...

That's some fire you have created, looks like your in a shed load of trouble.
News to me. How the heck did they do 1200 patients? In one day? And social distance?
There seems so many different vaccines for this flu jab malarkey. I assume someone knows what they are doing.Judith had her jab at work NHS hospital they use the egg free vaccine.
