What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Rather humbling, seeing creatures I would have considered more likely to gouge each other, showing what I would say is 'respect' for other species ...mmhh

Lessons for us all there, me thinks.

A win for all the blessings you have, Ian, but I would have liked to give a hug for losing your beloved father and for the poignant memories the day brings. Lovely poem, as usual. Very thought provoking.

You are right @jjraak
They all appear to 'respect' each other, co-exist. Just as 'my' small birds do, and they literally take another species of small bird under their wing.

There is hope of things to come in that creative. A few more weeks and it will be back again. Shortest day is only 17 days away.

Afternoon all.

Pleasant day yesterday.
Out walking dog at Chiswick house .

Dogs mummy (adopted niece) came too .

Ladies enjoyed the stalls on display.
Doggie toys & treats bought for his chrimbo pressies ..
"Really, how MUCH "....

Biltong and a dried sausage (forget the name, purchase by moi, for lc snacks ....chili & v tasty)

Got home feeling dreadful, reminiscent of my early days post DX.

Tested 5.2....bodies just not used to such low numbers yet, I guess.

Went to bed early.
Good night's sleep
FBG back at 6.6 this morning.

A day of wonder ahead ....

Wonder-ing why TV packed up ..

Interweb for tips & tricks to revive it ...no joy.

Was intending to replace after Xmas, white spots appearing (we have had it a good while)

So new one ordered, off to collect this afternoon, so that's my day sorted.....

But at least Laurens happy.

And I get to hear the dulcet tones of the fishwives* of Beverly hill (Billie's) screaming at other, over ever misconceived slight or dodgy glance, once more in vivid colour....

NB* It doesn't make you live longer ...
It just makes it feel like it...

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, if you are offended by my lack of woke in my morning greeting, please think about bungee jumping with out the bungee, also if the preceding sentence caused you offence, read no further.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.6 a little surprise.

Lots of chat on creaking joints today, not wishing to be left out, I also suffer, knees, ankles and fingers, such is the welcome price for being alive.

Here in Tilehurst Towers it is cold and damp, so much so that I have come indoors with the risk of helping put up the Christmas decorations, abit from a distance, making helpful and sage comments, 125% of which are ignored, accompanied by a withering look.

This morning was the 35 or 36th Reading Toy Run in aid of Dr Bernardo’s homes, between 1500 to 2000 motorcyclists decorate their motorcycles riding 5 or so miles from Reading to the local Bernardo's home each donating a present or 3 for the children, it is wonderful sight to see and over the years I have taken part on a few occasions, alas these days I don’t partake. I raise my visor to all who ride and marshal this event.

Now it is time to nap, then out for dinner at my eldest son and wife’s while getting told off for teaching the grandchildren rugby songs without the rude words.

Stay safe all.

Thanks for that - the descriptions are always the best which is why I loved comprehension at school and got great marks! Hubby also has cut down on salt and that has helped a great deal, if he doesn't have his shot of cranberry his wrists are terrible. Clicking them helps but half the time he cant click them and so the never ending cycle of discomfort continues until hes is able to click. Between us we sound like a Spanish duo of flamenco dancers!

Normally white spots on tv screen indicate the leds going/gone and some will appear brighter than others. To fix the tv has to be stripped down and leds replaced. If you know what you are doing then it can be done. My hubby has fixed numerous televisions but it is by no means easy and very intricate particularly difficult with sausage fingers! The old valve ones were the best lol my dad always had that tv open at the back repairing it, we always had a box of valves on standby

I think we are all creaking gates on this thread @ianpspurs one way or another...but on the 'bright' side, creaking gates last the longest...
But does that apply to creaking joints if so I will be like a 20 year old forever

RIP to your dad and enjoy the memories. Sour cherry seems to be one of the things that acts to ward off/reduce and needs to be taken daily - not so good for when a flare up decides to make an angry appearance.

Lovely sunny picture for a dull day
