Perhaps they encounter lots of faulty doorbells on their delivery rounds that just don't work @gennepher, so to avoid a fruitless wait for the occupier to answer the door, try a loud bang on the door instead.I do have such a notice on the door @LivingLightly
But I think they have lost the ability to read...
I love the effect of the two-toned colour background @gennepher. It's a bit different, as you say.Fbg 6.9
Having a wibbly wobbly day.
Seller who yesterday and today reiterated she was doing nothing at all about the wrong things in my parcel, took all my spoons away from me. No energy.
I have slept since this morning...trying to get some energy back. And now it's nearly end of day.
I have decided to draw a line under this.
It's wasting my time and energy.
Just going to cut my losses.
Walk away from it.
Right, it's done with.
Start the day anew, see if I can do something.
It's half 3.
The weather is dull and cloudy.
The air is still.
No rain.
At least give me a little rain for my garden if it is dull and cloudy...
It's getting warm again.
Temperature often goes up this time of day.
My creative for today in Kaleider Kaleidoscopes...
Finally decided on this one as a bit different.
It's a photo of the home page of my tablet.
Make the most of the rest of the day....
Take care...

Yes it could be they are trying to save time @LivingLightlyPerhaps they encounter lots of faulty doorbells on their delivery rounds that just don't work @gennepher, so to avoid a fruitless wait for the occupier to answer the door, try a loud bang on the door instead.
I cannot think of any other explanation for behaviour that is becoming increasingly common.
Thursday's FBG 4.5 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.
Thank you @LivingLightlyI love the effect of the two-toned colour background @gennepher. It's a bit different, as you say.
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Good decision, Gennepher. That seller ought to be brought up short, but the satisfaction of doing that would not outweigh the effects fighting them would have on your energy, to say nothing of the waste of your valuable time.Fbg 6.9

Thank you @AnnbGood decision, Gennepher. That seller ought to be brought up short, but the satisfaction of doing that would not outweigh the effects fighting them would have on your energy, to say nothing of the waste of your valuable time.
I hope your mattress arrives on time @AnnbBG at 05.10 - just awake and not yet standing - was 7.9. By the time I got to the bedroom door it was 8.2 and Libre was beeping at me. Currently, after pain killers and a cup of tea, it is 9.5. Insulin and breakfast, I guess, is the order of the day and see if BG will go down a bit.
My new mattress should be delivered today but I won't get the old one taken off my bed until I am sure it will come. Very surprised to see the price of mattresses these days - ranging from £275 to £895 for a 4'6" mattress. Turned out that the one I preferred was around the £300 mark. They reckon 8 years is the lifespan of a mattress so this one should see me out. In 8 years time, if I'm still around, a new mattress will probably cost around the £1000 mark and I probably won't bother.
Same here, Gennepher. Pea soup outside when I got up (couldn't see across the field opposite) but that has cleared and it's a bright, sunny day.Fbg 6.8
There was a low lying smog earlier, but now it's a bright blue skied sunny day.
Temperature is 24 in my back garden.
The DIY'ers sound as though they out in full force.
So, disconnected my sound processor and I now have blissful peace, apart from my tinnitus which sounds like an 8 lane busy motorway...
Creative...photographed my cushion...put it in Kaleider Kaleidoscope...and this is one picture I got...
Have a good day...the best you can...

My mattress has just arrived so when Alistair comes, I'll get him to help Neil get the old one off of my bed and put the new one on. It's heavier than I had imagined, so a bit much for Neil to do in his current weakened state.
Thank you @ianpspursGood afternoon from a glorious late summer's day here in L.A, possibly the best of this summer. It is not too warm nor too humid, just nicely balanced for me anyhow. @gennepher thank you for sharing the wonderful creative. @Annb I hope your sons can deal with #mattressgate and it brings you endless nights of blissful rest. Actually, I'd have thought mattresses would be even more expensive so perhaps I shouldn't do the mattress shopping. @JohnEGreen winner for the interventions not the issues which made them expedient.
Hopefully your life will be made better after yesterday. Here, I've decided to poke a sleeping dog by acquiring a libre sensor. I probably (almost certainly) won't like the readings but may have a chance of impacting them if I know what they are. I have also been trying to work out how to increase some vitamins and nutrients within an Ian friendly Keto (ish) regime. I like Octopus tentacle salad and there was a pack of two in a freezer so that is today's main meal. The analysis for 1 tentacle (125-150 gms) is attached - we will cook both and leave one in the fridge for up to 3 days. Very pleased with the levels of Iron and B12 shown vs RDA. Will ultimately make absolutely zero difference to the big issue but using God's bounty to good effect is very pleasing. Enjoy your own version of this Friday.
Congratulations Keiran. #1 son submitted his thesis late July and is just awaiting official confirmation of his pass. I read the drafts which taught me so much about the impact of sustainability legislation on large organisation's supply chains - Scope 3 emissions were an eye opener. What gave me most pleasure is that he left Uni, over 12 years ago, to support his partner when she was pregnant (I was both proud of him and bitterly disappointed as he didn't need to both her parents as ourselves were able to support them) but he worked his way up from a warehouse job to his present role with a large charity who have supported him in this - linked to a modern apprenticeship. You must be proud of your part in Keiran's academic success. I'd say in both cases God has kept his covenant with both lads and yourself and Judith (I remember the PM you sent me) Both myself and #1 son’s supervisor are all for him going on to a Phd. Has Keiran considered that perhaps later? Take careKeiran has completed his masters Thesis submitted yesterday now is feeling lost as has spent so much time studying over last few years can’t quite come to terms with no longer being a student doesn’t quite know what to do with himself now. But is far less stressed now.
Congratulations to Keiran. And congratulations to your son Ian. It's a huge effort to keep studying as you get older. Motivation is important and rewarding. The prospect for both of them will be enhanced by their success, so well done them.Keiran has completed his masters Thesis submitted yesterday now is feeling lost as has spent so much time studying over last few years can’t quite come to terms with no longer being a student doesn’t quite know what to do with himself now. I would say you can absolutely feel a huge sense of pride (some pride is ok just not false pride) in dealing with all that external pressure and still passing. The satisfaction of knowing you have achieved your God given potential isn't quantifiable but surely in your quieter moments you can reflect and feel you know what, I did that even when the odds against seemed overwhelming. God bless you.Congratulations to Keiran. And congratulations to your son Ian. It's a huge effort to keep studying as you get older. Motivation is important and rewarding. I did my MA with the OU while I was working and didn't feel any great benefit from the experience. Had I been a full-time student, it may have been more enjoyable but it was just a question of digging in to hold down a job, a family, caring for an elderly parent, an ailing husband and discovering that I was diabetic and arthritic at the same time. I didn't feel that I did either the course, or myself, justice so felt a bit of a cheat when I got my pass. Never had any benefit from it either - just the satisfaction of being able to say "I did it!"
