What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Wow, really interesting art bit @dunelm

Today is not going to be a good one. I've run out of codeine. I was sure I had another packet in the drawer, but when I looked there ... Plenty of other pills, but no codeine. The arm is almost as bad as ever and still shockingly painful - much worse than when I broke my elbows. My own fault. I should have checked that I wasn't running out. Might have to borrow from Neil. He has soluble para/codeine to manage his crohn's disease.

Slept midnight to 02.30 thanks to the last of the codeine. BG then was 7.5.

Ibuprofen with paracetamol may calm down prostaglandin action and the action of rubbing/massaging the area of pain should send faster signals to your brain and distract the pain receptors. Hope Neil comes through for you.

Good morning everyone on a splendidly sunny start here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.7 this a.m.
Got my sourdough in the market yesterday - all sliced and in the freezer. No kimchi - arrived too late. We did get a spaghetti squash so it will be a low carb “spaghetti” bolognese for dinner.
Taking The Girl In The Bubble down to the lower prom this morning so that she can peddle her trike on flat ground before her parents pick her up around noon. Will there be ice cream involved?
Art bit - keep adding more ink to some water.
Hope your day is considerate, I best make koffy and may even treat myself to a shower.

Good happy Sunday Morening fellow posters and painters.

Blood sugars this morning were 6.5

If you woke up this morning and stretched your arms out and didn’t touch wood it means you are alive, not necessarily compost mentist, but alive and that’s a good reason to smile.

Here in Tilehurst Towers, the words beard trim have been uttered, I wasn’t listening luckily.

Sorry, but Mrs J is determined to discuss something or other with me and might require an answer that doesn’t involve opening my wallet or the expenditure of energy…….

6.9 this morning.
Still improving -:so I think I will teach classes tomorrow.

Am taking pro-biotics a couple of hours after my morning and evening antibiotics to hopefully keep my gut OK as they are quite powerful antibiotics.

I've been told that ibuprofen is bad for kidneys so can't take that. Paracetamol based painkillers are my norm plus the extra codeine when needed. Atm it just isn't enough though. Toying with the idea of A&E but I know the hospital pharmacy doesn't work on Sundays. One of my ex-students works there. Fully staffed Monday to Friday. Skeleton staff Saturday morning then closed until Monday. Maybe in dire cases they'll call out a pharmacist - not sure about that but anyway, I don't think a painful wrist would be dire enough.

I also can’t take Ibuprofen as not good with Warfarin on odd occasions my GP does prescribe codeine but when I can’t get codeine I have been known to purchase Co-Codamol which is paracetamol and codeine this can be bought over the counter but only in a lower dosage than can be prescribed not very useful on a Sunday I know unless you have emergency pharmacies in your area.

I used to see backdrops like that when I drove into the Lake District @dunelm

I apologise for not looking through the posts, I have been a tad busy. For some unknown reason.
I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes.

Great surprise party and spoiled rotten.
Was whisked away to my my eldest house , where all my kids and grandkids. Their partners etc, we're there for a freebie feast and drink. (Yes, I did donate more than my presence)
Lots of stuff, including new clothes, vouchers for e-books, trekkie DVD. And anti wrinkle cream, smellies (No I don't!) Washing up liquid, shower stuff. And some very dark chocolate.
I also got a lot of love and skits.
The grandkids were brilliant and a video was nicely received of photos and comments.
A few tears.
But loads of laughs and smiles.
A great day, I'm still shaking.
And my team won as well. Wow!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, absolutely beautiful and I say out in it for a couple of hours, and watched the many planes criss crossing overhead. The stars will no out tonight, Venus and Mars headlining next to the Moon.

Enjoy what is left of this wonderful.

What an absolutely wonderful day you had so well deserved.

Days like this, excellent.

What a truly wonderful day @Lamont D
