Love the art bit @dunelmGood morning everyone on a damp squib of a start here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.9 this a.m.
Much protesting from several body parts about even the slightest movement so wander up and down the garden to loosen up.
Totting up yesterday on what my Fitbit recorded:
Walking round the house of course
Walk down to catch a bus
Alight bus and walk to the rendezvous with the full route walkers
Walk along the cliff tops on the Cleveland Way
See that there is a long queue for the funicular so, up the steps to the upper prom.
Walk through town and up to Cricket Club
Just over 9 miles.
A good day had by all. The sun shone and a fair breeze from the sea.
Art bit - only time for a quick sketch so there we are.
Hope you all have a fine day. I am going to make Koffy.
Beautiful @JGreenWhen we went wandering in Brierley Forest Park the other day there were a few patches of Blue Bells showing up.

Thank you @gennepherLove the art bit @dunelm
And all the beautiful photographs
A hug for not being able to get cash but a winner for that wonderful Sumi flower painting.Fbg 7.1
I went out this morning to collect my skillet, which had been stored under the shop counter and risked getting damaged. Although I prefer going out early, it was Sunday, stuff opens later and everything was packed when I got there. Car parking spaces were all taken up, and it was tons busier than I’d usually choose.
Since I was already out (for the skillet)I decided to do a bit of shopping, I already had a list in my head. What I really wanted was to shop with cash in hand. Unfortunately, despite several attempts this past week, I still haven’t managed to get cash. I went to Iceland to get cash back, but she said she had none. The High Street banks have gone, my local post office is gone, and the new one’s (when I find exactly where it is) opening times are unclear or conflicting online. I’ll have to go in person on Tuesday to check.
By the time I got home, I was utterly exhausted. I unpacked, fed the cats (while a very determined magpie tried to steal scraps), and then unintentionally slept for over six hours straight. I’ve done no housework or tidying today.
Creative is a flower painting...done with my Kuretake brush pens...
Night night
Have a good sleep...

I love this gentle peaceful painting @dunelmGood morning everyone on this, so far, tax free bank holiday Monday.
5.7 this a.m.
Strange things that young people do these days - a gender reveal event? Basically a load of blue and pink balloons, a scan photo in a sealed envelope and a buffet. So, our eldest grand daughter is expecting (flip coin) - a boy. Due in September. When I told my mother she said, “how odd, you can save loads of money by just waiting for an announcement from the midwife”.
Art bit - watercolour sketch of the woods.
Hope your bank holiday does not involve sitting in a traffic jam - jam is not good for you! I’m going to make koffy.
Thank you @gennepher - my mother usually has a good take on that sort of stuff.
Lovely dandelions. We have the young leaves in salads when we are in France. Which is fine. The older leaves get cooked like kale - not a fan and too much results in living in the bathroom!Fbg 6.8
Three Dandelions
I took this photo yesterday. Just three dandelions, quietly glowing yellow in the grass.
I love dandelions, bright, cheerful, not just weeds.
Today is a quiet day...no people...a reprieve from the world.... I have no intention to go out into traffic jams today..... the only jam I will be experiencing will be some home-made plum jam on a crumpet...
The sun is out, and the garden is calling, and maybe a library book
Take care

Thank you very much @dunelmLovely dandelions. We have the young leaves in salads when we are in France. Which is fine. The older leaves get cooked like kale - not a fan and too much results in living in the bathroom!
I had something like that in the last place I lived @AnnbHere's another example of total incompetence by an organisation and inability of other organisations to set it right.
