Yes I did wear one for a couple of weeks - it finished about a week ago and I haven’t put the other on yet. I would have thought that if it was the problem I’d have got a red itchy patch around the sensor, but I didn’t - they just appeared all over the place, arms, legs, neck, ankles. Can’t remember exactly when they started appearing though
I’m really hoping that if hens eggs are the issue that I’ll be ok with duck eggs as you suggest. A quick Google indicates this might be the case so I’m feeling cheered up by that.

Oh no DJC...I have an old Laura Ashley chair that belonged to a dear friend of mine...waiting for it to be recovered when it is I'll have my water pistol loaded in case these two have designs on it...I love good solid old furniture nothing old fashioned about it at all you may be able to save it...possibly have it recovered when Dennis is out of his puppy stage...he didn't realise what he was doing.

I agree PM only one receptionist window open now...always a blasted great queue so we're all standing on top of one another...you almost feel like being apologetic for being there!!!
 
While I am on it why on earth do we continue to buy Hotpoint/Whirlpool/Indesit appliances? I recently bought an Indesit drier not knowing it was part of the same group. Best to stick to Miele or Bosch if we have deep pockets and they will still be available.
 
I am pleased to announce that I went to the grocery store and came home and did NOT buy any stress bread. I bought roast beef instead.
I also bought this little guy -- best Toy for Tots ever!



As I was walking him down to our lobby to the Toys for Tots box I ran into several neighbors and staff, all of whom wanted to greet him and "ride" him and hear him neigh. I actually managed to canter a couple of strides on him. I wish I could buy a dozen like him to picket in our activities room or fitness center -- but he was the last one in the box at the store.
 
Update on the stressful situation at my building --
This morning I left a voicemail message for the Minister to Seniors at the local church affiliated with this apartment building, telling him briefly about my concerns.
A couple of hours later I got a call from the director here telling me not to worry about the KittenCat, that I will be given several days' notice when work will be done in my apartment, and to let her know when I receive the notice, as she will take care of my cat and me.
About 5 minutes after this conversation the Minister to Seniors called me "just to get back to me about my voicemail message." I have a sneaking suspicion that he got my message, called the director here and talked with her, and that that is why she FINALLY called me.
She has not proved herself reliable in the past but I have logged our conversation, an outside "authority" figure knows about it, and thankfully the KittenCat knows nothing about it all and is right now purring and making biscuits on my lap.
And I am utterly exhausted.
Thank you all for your kindness and support and feedback with my venting and worries.

Eye injection went OK. Last time I had an injection I told the doctor and nurse that I had loads of discomfort after it and I thought that I was really sensitive to the Iodine. Because of that they washed my eye out thoroughly. They did the same today and I find that it is really helpful. My eye is nowhere near so uncomfortable afterwards.
@PenguinMum I wonder if that would help you also.

That sounds like it might just be a good outcome. It's not surprising that you feel utterly exhausted as it was looking as though it was going to be an absolute nightmare.
 
We had one of the dangerous indesit dryers. We went for a replacement instead of a repair.
I didn't want another indesit but they wouldn't give us a refund - only a replacement. I must admit that it has been a really good dryer - and I think these newer dryers are safe - hopefully.

I agree about the silver service at the vets. Our doggies really love our vet. He was sitting on the floor cuddling Archie today.

I often think that we would be better off going to the vet rather than a doctor as vets seem to be so up to date and knowledgeable.
 
I dont have iodine washes because I have a shellfish allergy but it has been difficult until last time when I had a different injector who used a different anaesthetic andb it was so much better.
 
I had something similar and it turned out to be caused by Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which is in absolutely everything. My dentist diagnosed it. Initially it only caused lichen planus in my mouth. Dentist advised switching to Weleda toothpaste. Lichen Planus cured.

A year later l started getting itchy skin so experimented with cutting out SLS. It worked. no more iching. Started back on it - itching and rashes came back. Thank goodness for Weleda and Ecover products.

We are all different and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate may not be your problem - but it might be worth checking if it is or not.

That's great - hopefully it is now in your records so you can always have the different anaesthetic.
