What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@dogslife Hug for the distressing day. At least you were able to hear some good news about your mum. As you reminded me:

View attachment 38486 And we all of us need that reminder.
I am glad you made it home OK, and that your mum is fine.
Thanks again, SaskiaKC. What a lovely, peaceful picture.

That sounds like a brilliant and very useful excursion to that store. I wonder if youboughtmore than one item you could barter a reduction, worth a try? As you say the man will be keen to get a sale to get his commission. The choice though is for you to mull over. Best wishes Saskia.

Sounds like you enjoyed your shopping trip, SaskiaKC. Wonder which one/ two you will buy? I agree that you need to try furniture for comfort once you have browsed on line. We have been considering buying a new matress but haven't got around to even browsing yet. I imagine a sprung matress must be better for support. Best wishes.

Evening all a mixed bag of weather here today including a snow storm.

@jjraak and @PenguinMum i sure hope the ZA does not happen tonight as my VW camper van is still at the garage they could not get the cam belt and service finished, they say they were held up this morning with another job, however I thought I could smell gin.

@SlimLizzy sorry about the damage but a lovely home you have there.

@gennepher a great use of the left over paint and wonderful silver birch trees. Hug for lack of sleep.

@trick60 great HbA1c hope I can do as well this week. Mind you my Health Centre of Excellence, their words not mine, have not called me in and it's due Tuesday, looks like I will be knocking on their door again.

Been a long day, difficult MIL visit.

Sorry to be pedantic but you are getting me and gennepher mixed up, I wouldnt know what to do with amy paint !!

On our way home from Visiting MIL drove through a snowstorm past a windmill at Upper Longdon, they are not all in Norfolk, and the sun was just setting so that's what inspired today's painting, watercolour between A5 and A4 size. Brushes used Large and Rigger, the spray bottle was used to keep the sky damp, its water not cleaner. Paints in pans not tubes. Time taken 20 mins whilst dinner was being prepared, yes by me so lots of running backwards and forwards, even dipped a paint brush in my glass of wine in the confusion and probably the reason the windmill is a bit cockeyed.

The equipment used

Hey thats beautiful love the sky and love the windmill.. Thank you.

Thank you. I may try that.
It always worked for my father with car-buying.

P.S. It was fun getting out, even in the rain. I almost always enjoy spending time with Lyft/Uber drivers, they are from so many different places and most of them are nice to talk with. We talk about cars and their kids and traffic, and sometimes furniture shopping or grocery shopping.

I am thinking the recliner, and the best mattress I can afford. I was thinking that I might buy the cheapest now and then splurge on a better one later on, but I will never be able to afford one that would be different enough to feel different. But it's definitely going to be a sprung one, and not a foam one. (Unless someone puts that one I posted on sale for under $100!) hahaha.

That is so beautiful. Thank you for posting it. I hope that sunset will forecast a better day for you tomorrow, and for MIL too.
And I hope you didn't drink any paint by mistake!

Hug for the difficult MIL visit@Muddy Cyclist. Hope tomorrow is better.

The recliner sounds like a good choice @SaskiaKC.

@DJC3 hope you made it back to Cornwall safely and all there was intact after the storm. Hope you enjoyed the show in London.

Thanks PM it was a pretty hairy ride back on the last section, I’m glad my daughter was driving. The show was fantastic, the effects were brilliant, you could almost believe it was magic. You would need to have read the books, or at least seen the films to understand what was going on. Very expensive but we booked months ago and saved up.
I am now nearly 250 posts behind lol! I’ll have to start afresh tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear the show was great. And glad you made it home OK.

You might want to check YouTube reviews . I watched lots of them when I was buying my Puffy .
