I've experienced snowstorm forecasts when "neighbors" would strip the stores' shelves of bread, milk, and batteries, preferring to hoard supplies for what might be one week without electricity and/or water than share with their neighbors. But that was before the days of the Internet. And the thought of an entire globe full of people with credit cards buying up all the toilet paper and sanitizers and hoarding them against something that might not even happen is much more horrifying to me than the less likely possibility of every. single. person. on earth catching the coronavirus and dying from it.</blockquote>
