[QUOTE="Annb, post: 2562990, member: 25851"] I got rid of all my husband's clothes after he died - it was all good stuff and was best passed on to folk who needed it at the time - he would have approved of that. My boys are nowhere near big enough to provide anything to go round me. I do have a poncho, knitted by DIL. It's very warm but, as you say, it does get in the way and catches on door handles. I also have a thick, huge, furry "Oodie" - a present from Em. It's not quite as warm as the poncho, but pretty good. Neither of these reach my legs, and that's where I feel the cold. We have quite a lot of sleeping bags - used to do a lot of camping - some are down but others are that kind of nylon fibre filling. Still thinking of using a couple of those, but your idea of using the bodies of jumpers sound like a good one. Have to hunt around. I've actually put the heater on in the kitchen today - Em arrived wearing a tee shirt (she'd got herself ready to come up here) but no jumper. I made her put on one of mine and she wrapped herself in one of my blankets and settled in the big chair, but I can't keep the room cold while she's here. So I'm enjoying a bit of heat for now.
