6.5 today at 03.45. Neil has ground to a halt on the work in the loft due to his chest/breathing problems. As a result, downstairs is still cluttered with things that either need to go back to the loft or need to be taken to the dump/charity shop. Alistair can't help - he's pretty exhausted trying to keep doing his own job plus all the work that DIL can't do in the laundry at the moment. His exhaustion is clear to see but he feels he has to keep going. Today is his day off from his own job so he was hoping to get ahead with some laundry work and to get a chance for some sleep. My new mini pc arrived and is working. Unfortunately, the keyboard that I have to go with it is a wireless one and it was left in Neil's room with the batteries still in, years ago. Result is, of course, very corroded batteries and connections that need cleaning thoroughly. Meantime Neil has given me a different keyboard which is not wireless. The connector to the monitor doesn't seem to be working either although the pc does work with a different connector to my little TV. Unfortunately, the stand I had with my TV, which hadn't been used since about 2014, went to the dump about 3 weeks ago. Wouldn't you just know it? For now, I am still using my laptop while Neil rethinks the plan. My DNA test kit has arrived and I will do something about that this weekend.
