They brought beautiful flowers, a Get Well card and a bottle of alcohol free sparkling wine to celebrate our Golden wedding anniversary in retrospect. ( I don't drink alcohol as it doesn't agree with my medication). We opened the wine and shared it. I had a small glass but of course it contained sugar! I provided snacks including cheese so I ate some of that hoping it would avoid a sugar spike but who knows? Anyway we had a lovely time catching up and putting the world to rights. LOL I had a phone call this morning from the hospital to say that my blood test on Friday was normal so that is one less thing to be concerned about.
