What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@amgrundy & @MARGAR - Your body converts food into glucose and is stored by your liver. So when your body senses your blood sugar is low, - the liver "dumps" some glucose into your blood. (That's my interpretation)

Thanks I understand that. So how do you know when you have a liver dump?

So we put the glucose there by taking some carbs or Dextrose stuff, because our b.s. reading is "low"....? @amgrundy, there's literature out there somewhere for us to read. Thanks @ @liam1955.

@amgrundy & @MARGAR - I don't know how I "stumbled" upon the article Liver Dump on this forum!!! I have tried to find it again today and I am not having any luck - Sorry Ladies Liver Dump is also referred to as: Dawn Phenomenon. You will know when you have had this - your blood sugar will be high on a morning.

7.8 this morning at 7am no more cauliflower cheese for me [ or maybe I ate too much

I need to know too, please
Your liver produces glucose during the night so that when you wake in the morning you don't feel tired. Insulin balances this out in normal folk but for us with insulin resistance this doesn't happen hence the higher blood sugar readings in the morning. I've tried everything to overcome this but, as yet, had no success .
