What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi all,

4.2 to these morning.

My other news:
I lost another 1.7 lb (0.7 kg) this week (edited to correct, typed in last week's weight loss by mistake).

This gives me a total loss of 100.0 lbs (45.3 kg - 7 stone 2)

I am no longer obese for the first time in many years, now I'm in the overweight category. I weigh less than my wedding and now fit in a size 14 to get into a wedding dress of size16, 33 years ago). I started at size 24 or 22. I've lost 13 1/2" off my waist.

Here's my latest before and after.

So...after slightly falling off the wagon I went on to do it properly with some choccy biccies. Ahem. I figure when you do it, might as well make the most of it, get it out of your system and to be fair, Mothers day is a very tough day for me.

Back to it today.

So, 8.1 this morning. Let's see how fast it drops.

Well after yesterday's carbs fest.
(Nachos...yum AND ouch :***

We then went on to have a wonderfully debaucherous night, drinking and eating with some Indian friends on the beach, being invited to join in some dancing with a dozen or so merry Indian gents (who were most respectful).and some lovely russian ladies, who were even more merry, but delightful movers

Eventually the night finally wound down.

And of the three of us (compulsory holiday dog ownership..means you can never be JUST a couple ) .two of us crashed early.

And once back at rooms, a swift night cap for me (naughty) then bed

Saw the dawn of a new day with...a stunning.6.2.....expected much worse.

On the road again.
A handsome 5.5 at 0545 - the wheel of wonderment seems to like a rhyming and rhythmic reading - rock and roll. Wonder if it was because Angus Young celebrated his 64th birthday yesterday - abusolutely thunderstruck.

Off to Heathrow today and a journey of head-scratching, so called, foodstuffs on a flight of delight to that magical soup bowl city of bonkers and discombobulation, New York.
 
Good morning all. Blood sugars were 5.6 this morning -- after an unsuccessful attempt at lowering ketones (for my GP). Unfortunately, ketones still up, but blood sugar also. Well, will fast today, at least until I get home from work at 9 p.m.

Bright sunny Sussex Coast dawn. Going to be an odd day. My BP was high at a routine test, so the Clinic is fitting me with a 24 hour BP cuff/monitor on my left bicep which is going to test every hour, all through the night. Forgive me if I'm a sleepyhead tomorrow.

FBG 8.5 mmol/lt. Weight coming down, BMI 31.0, so will monitor for another month before asking for extra meds.
