10.5 after visit to loo
Don't think I'm ever going to be able to test in bed as my fingers need hefty assistance from gravity to bleed. Has anyone managed to fingerprick lying down? Will ask diabetes nurse eventually but she has probably never even thought of it.
not had an issue laying down other than anxiety over the fingerprick itself , bathroom to wash hands in warm water for a couple of mins, or holding a nice warm coffee on the odd occassion lucky enough to have breakfast in bed
Sorry to hear you are struggling. Hoping things start to improve for you soon. I think my issue might be the amount of weight I have put on this Winter. Up 2 dress sizes. If I can do a reset and lose some of it, I think things will be ok. Hoping so anyway.Same with me @Ryhia 5 or 6 years ago I was doing everything well but then slipped back then when things stabilised my fbs were averaging 5 to 6s and never more than 5 by evening I seem to be averaging mid sevens during the day and I'm doing low carb..
Thanks @Ryhia for some reason I thought I would breeze back into the 4s and 5s again after ignoring it for a few years well I'm determined to plod along low carb and hopefully get back there.im sure the gout thingy has raised things a bit not so bad today I had a better 6.6 at 0500 and a 5.7 at 1700 hrs.6.5 this morning.

good job6.8 for me this morning…… first time in the sixes since I started testing in February was mostly double figures then so I’m taking this as a win!
Hope everyone has a lovely Friday x
Yes diet only …. Low carb …and walking most days if possible…good jobi'd take that as a win too esp down from from double fingers and via diet only lowcarb i guess
Your TIR must be really brilliant based on your FBG postings, so no worries for the A1c.Libre 5.4. Yesterday managed to get bloods done hopefully January results cholesterol 12 triglycerides 63 hba1c 162 will be heck of a lot better. Feel sorry for the nurse took 50 mins until was settled enough for her to try brightside diazapan temazepan alongside Elma cream appeared to help. Hopefully will get results soon with some improvements
walking in general tends to lower sugars for me (short walks at very slow pace), swimming appears to have a bigger difference in helping to reduce (at very very slow pace) that is basing off cgm. That's good to know. Does the getting up, walking and hand soaking affect your numbers much? I was told to test "first thing" which I took to mean before getting out of bed.
