What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

i'm sure you'll enjoy yourslf throughly when you go hopefully a trip to one of their markets is part of your intinerary what else have you planned for your trip. rice and noodles pretty carb heavy i'm sure there will be plently lower carb eaters where your going, maybe there is a facebook group or something for LCHF in a near city with some nice eatery suggestions?

hope your appt goes well. the results have likely hit someone's desk. when they get around to reading it ... will likely be either 1) a quick read of notes/tests prior to appt times 2) directlybefore your appt with a quick scim read or 3) during your actual appt. nhs can be bad at times equally it can be exceptionally good really depends on how busy the consultants schedule is ... if its libre sensor check the clinican notes you may have something mentioned in that

eg libre view website glucose report for me has:

"Considerations for the Clinician¹
Most Important Pattern:‏
Lows
Overnight Morning
Medication
Medications contributing to lows?"

5.4 for me today. lower back sore today skipping this mornings swim. going to try chase up mental health appt for needlephobia also plan on trying to chasing up endo appt was up half a dozen times last time to pee ketones fairly high with normal to low blood sugars for a few weeks now. bright side about getting up several times at least kidneys are doing their job producing urine to pee out some of the ketones, upping fluid intake for daytime hours should help and maybe less in the evening

7.5 on meter still waiting on replacement sensor the last one kept re setting itself then told me to replace it ! Yeah right at over 50 quid a go . Anyway BG not bad esp when I got up at 2 am for a snack .

Probably they do wait until the last minute to respond to FOIs, time is needed to assess if the FOI can be answered. Some requests can be "massive" with many hours of work involve so very time consuming particularly if not all the information is in one place. So some requests can be refused with reasoning. Often requests will be from marketing agencies and survey companies. These were generally refused because the information was considered commercially sensitive. I was around when FOIs were in their infancy so things may have changed and as they are much more popular, I think most companies nowadays probably have a dedicated member of staff to deal with requests. All genuine requests need to be answered so yours must have been assessed as genuine and it is good that they responded. Of course, the information is only as good as the source data and human recording of data as not always accurate, as I know from my own NHS record.

Hope you get your appointment soon.

5.7 this morning. A very Smokey morning there, sadly there’s a huge fire burning south of us and the smoke is engulfing the entire province. The sunrise was red, the skies are dark and , at this time, it’s getting worse as the smell is increasing. The main highway is closed between us and the lower mainland as the fire has jumped the road. It sucks!

5.3 made a little progress with chasing up help for needle phobia. pretty surprised at lack of communication and followups. Referral was made late Jan. They say they wrote back to gp via email start of Feb declined referral for community mental health grounds should be referral to the primary care mental health team and asked Dr to re-refer. Both teams are same building... Next door to each other. Why couldn't they just hand to each other.. Dr surgery never got the letter to state that. I'll have appt letter sent out Wednesday for an evaluation to be done. Will see how that goes. Is it really too much to ask a hospital to use common sense and communicate internally Within the Same department next door to each other???

Fingers crossed for some rain for you hopefully emergency services will be able to get the fire under control shortly

Currently nine point seven

Saw endo yesterday. Was told he disagrees with my private endo and that he can’t see any reason for me to have insulin

He wouldn’t look at the daily graphs I’d printed and told me, like I didn’t know, I was always in range ( between four and ten)

He told me I should eat more carbs like carrots

sorry to hear your appt didn't go as you hoped. not particularly surprised didn't look at cgm data. couldnt get endo to look at private fingerprick hba1c & lipid results. imo definately should of at least looked at the data you had afterall nhs does support and use cgm data for type1's and indeed type2's when multiple insulin injections per day. might be worth asking for a second opinion? saying that some dr's will just try cover each others back.. especially if colleagues in the same hospistal so may not be useful as hope.
