What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Fingers crossed all is well

A little indulgance now and again is good for the soul
glad you had a lovely weekend

I have the chest x-ray results.

All clear it seems except that the arteries on the left lung appear somewhat enlarged. The specialist doctor that looked at the X-ray, who happens to be a neighbor and friend now wants me to have an upper body CT scan to be absolutely certain that all is OK.

I have to clear it with my own doctor first but in all likelihood I will be taking the scan tomorrow.

I have never been so thoroughly tested before in my life

Thinking of you today. Waiting is awful, hoping all is good.

Hope all goes well for you.If it's any comfort to you I had all those tests done a few years ago and nothing was found. They are pretty unpleasant tests to have but worth it to have a clean bill of health and peace of mind.........except for this bloomin diabetes!

But that's all good and it will put your mind at ease so go ahead, and good luck.K

7,1 mmol this morning.

A combination of too many carbs last night and the stress of having a chest and abdomen scan this morning

The barrage of medical tests I have been having to do lately is begining to get me down a bid.

No morning walk today. If all goes well I will make up for it tonight.

So I leave you with a couple of photos of some sea faffodils Pancratium maritimum from my trip on Sunday. They grow wild where they have no business to do so on sandy and beaches exposed to the salty sea air.

Update: sugars came down to 5, 9 by 7 am without the aid of a walk or medication. I was asked not to take metformin (Glucophage today) as in combination with the "dye" they will inject to carry out the scan it could be harmful to my kidneys.

Hallo en goeie oggend, my heerlike bakkies van wildebees sop. I awoke this.morning to find my dawg with my set of finest crayons. She had eaten the red, blue and orange ones and with the black one etched 'your blood sugar this morning on waking is 2.9mmols' I don't know who said dogs are smart but they were wrong. My blood sugar was actually 3.7mmols. Man's best friend? I think not. Have a super duper Tuesday all of you.
