Thankfully I am now retired and live near to mum so can visit often and still do all I can every day. Sadly mum isn't at peace as she knows something is wrong but cannot understand what is happening to her. Her memory is fleetingly short and she is anxious and confused a lot of the time. It is truly an awful condition. The worst thing is knowing that no matter what I do I cannot make mum better. The nurse's visit yesterday just reinforced that feeling. We just continue to do our best and help her enjoy things in the moment even though she cannot remember them afterwards. Thanks again.</p></blockquote><p></p>
