5.7 on libre this morning. Like others I find it a massive help to keep an eye on things despite the almost prohibitive cost. I have been watching the Glucose Goddess on the television. She gives tips and advice mainly about weight loss and reducing BS. Unfortunately she shows folks bringing down the BS and having very little spikes whereas although my BS has come down the libre graph looks like a hedgehogs back! There is nothing I can eat, even the recommended nuts in small portions adds a baby spike on daily curve despite using some of her tips to avoid spikes. Much like @JoKalsbeek and @PenguinMum everything I eat spikes my BS it is just a matter of how high and even low carb days don't seem to have much effect for next day. I have always been baffled by the BS logic (if there is such a thing) but have learned enough to at least reduce my medication however I cannot see a pathway to eliminating medication altogether as suggested by many in the world of diabetes. I think for some of us it is just the way our bodies work and we have to manage it as best we can with meds, diet, exercise etc and using all the tools and measurements available. Sounds a bit negative but certainly for me the most practical.
