What's going on?

I've only logged on a few times in the last month or so, but it seems every time I do log on that somebody else has left, or been kicked off, the website :?

I realise there are some politics involved, and maybe other stuff too, but why is everyone letting this spoil what was a good friendly website where ALL diabetics and their friends/relatives could come for support and advice :?:

I don't think it is going to spoil the site. There have just been some changes.
Some people overstepped the mark in certain areas and Dan (Admin) has, in my view quite rightly had to clamp down on certain practices.
Certain people have left. Some through choice, others not.

There are still many more who offer great advice and support to everybody, be they T1, T2 etc.
I seem to recall you have posted before with some interesting and informative stuff ?
Don't let it put you or anyone else off.

Things just need to settle down and people need to learn from what went on. Some of it we are not privvy to because it was hidden from general view.

Whole theads disappearing is faintly sinister, isn't it? How can we learn from what went on if we don't know what went on??

i think because there has been some nasty name calling etc, nad harsh words said that some threads were removed!
this forum is based on help and info! Everybody tries to work as a team!
at the end of the day some things happen and at the end of the day someone has to step in and take over and stop it!
The moderator's and admin step in to take care to make sure that everybody gets the help that they need!
There has been a couple of crossed words on some times! The main thing is this forum is very helpful!
Take my story i am a newly diagnoised type 2! Mum type 1! I was so scared when i thought that i was becoming diabetic, i found this forum! I got such good advice!
The advice and help has been outstanding! I can only say that wothout this forum i would of ended up one of the many people who end up really sick and in hospital!
Instead the good people on this forum offered me help and support! There is nothing bad or evil going off!
Some choices had to be made and in my views the admin did what they thought was the best route! I am sure that it was not a 5 minute decision i am sure they thought long and hard before asking people to leave!
I have found that i have had such good info!
Take ken as one, he has calmed me down, same as sugarless sue, Katherine and dennis has offered me help and support as well as many others have been there for me!
The thing is there are good and bad choices made in this world, we all make mistakes in our life's and the main thing is that we learn form them!
I am sure that you will find that this forum is helpful! I am glad that i have found this forum and i hope that you stay around and find the help and amswers that you need!
i would like to say a big thankyou to everyone!
I am also sorry if i have hijacked this forum!

I'm glad you have found help and support here on the forum. I did too when I was newly diagnosed last year, and that's why I find it very sad to see discord amongst the good people who helped me.
I'm going through a bad patch myself at present, and was looking for some moral support I suppose. I live alone and don't really have anyone to talk things over with.
I just hope the forum recovers and continues with the good work that goes on. Just ordinary people helping one another through a mutual condition.

HEAR HEAR , Sugerbabe , Its been so disheartening sometimes, reading the arguments, and a waste of valuable time, i,m just an ordinary person trying to cope, all i want is help and advice, and hopefully help other folks, when and/if i can

Don't leave us! If we go it alone there will be lots of bad times! If we all pull together as a team then we can learn and grow all together as a team!
I know that everybody will have low points as well as high points! I am sure that everybody will be there!
There are lots of us here to talk there is normally at least one person around to answer a question! Or if you just feel that you need to get something off your chest!
if you feel you need a friend who will listen and offer kind words and support! there are lots of people here who will offer you support! We all need moral support from time to time!
That is why this forum was set up to offer kindness and support! I fully understand that you are having problems and there are lots of people here who will offer you kindness and support in what ever way you need it!
There are times where you feel you can't talk to a family member as you feel scared about talking about what ever the problem is!
I hope that you will stay here with us all! I am sure that any problems will get ironed out over time! Just don't give up on us!
if you feel you ever need support you can alway's Pm me and soon as I online i will message you straight back!
We all need a friend who can understand where we are coming from who suffer with something that we suffer with! Then we know that this person is not just saying I understand when they don't!
This is i think the reason why the forum was set up! We each have something to offer in one way or another! Lets all pull together and help everybody else!
Enough of my rambling's.

That's good. Mine is confused hayfever I think as I am fine today :)

already taken my anti histemines as i was out gardening today well doing some of the garden as i have alot more to do yet!
I have 1 apple tree and 4 plum trees in my back garden, as well as long grass as last year everything went bad on me health etc!
This year have to get the garden sorted!

I am doing my usual that this year I won't get hayfever but I have bought the little machine that you stick up your nose so if it kicks in properly i am going to try it out :)
Garden sounds divine. I live in a little terrace with back yards like coronation street so apart from a wheely bin and 2 pots with nothing in them, that is it :(

i live in a semi detached house with smallish front garden.
But the back garden is 32 foot long by 14 foot wide! Big garden for up keep! But it has to be done! I love my garden! already have apple and plum blossom on the trees!
i was thinking of planting pear and some other sorts of trees in the garden! I thought i might landscape the garden, then it will be easier if things take a turn for the worse when my eyes pack up!
I had a two white rose bushes in the front garden to show the un divided love between me and my fiancee, the white roses were big when they came out and they had a nice smell!
I noticed this morning someone has pinched them out of the garden just as they were ready for having roses! I have had them there since 2 years ago!
My mum says i am sentimental old fool! I always say excuse me i am now 33, you are 75 who is the old one?
i know i am sentimental, i have the first christmas card that i got off my grandparents wrapped up in a box! I have kept everything like that!
I have decided that in memory of my grandparents i am going to plant some sort of trees out the back then when ever i look at them i will remember the love i had for them!
Got to get some more white rose bushes or maybe one whote and one pink unsure at mo!

Lots of us are snuffling around these parts, the rape is in flower and there's a mass of tree pollen. The car's sunroof looks like the Sahara.
 
IMO 90% or more of posters are supportive and helpful.

A small but noisy group are more interesting in supporting their own agenda and their own egos.

IGNORE THEM and stick with the rest of us!
