My mum (79) has type 2 diabetes managed by pills (metformin) and diet. She constantly feels tired with no energy and thinks she needs to a energy boost with vitamins. we've tried Diabetone® Original but it makes her feel sick. can anyone suggest another multivitamin for diabetic's that might help her

Is she also on statins? If so, try co-enzyme Q10 (not a vitamin, I know, but involved with energy and decreased by statin use). I can also recommend Boots own-brand "Sharp Mind" supplements, which seem to have improved energy and alertness in a diabetic friend of mine.

Good idea to have her Vitamin D status checked if she doesn't get much sun exposure. I know from personal experience that a deficiency can have a huge impact on energy/fatigue levels.

I'd suggest you go see a doctor before treating possibly real conditions with a placebo.

Go read the clinical trial - the manufacturer admits that they do jack all to diabetes except improving psychological well being scores a bit.
