Whats the best way to reduce BG levels

hi nemiabonny do you mean LCHF diet. which is what Im striving towards and I have today purchased a bike time I used the car less in the UK

ok interesting thing just happened had same meal as non diabetic of steak mushrooms garlic sauce made with cream and a light portion of sweetcorn 2 hours after meal the non diabetic BG is 5.7 my BG is 4.9
the macro's for the tea are 493 calories 49.4g protein 28.4g fat 9.5g carbs
does anyoone have any idea why that would be
my next question would be how low can BG go when doing low carb diet

One or the other was a rogue reading?
One or both forgot to wash and dry hands?
Meters are not that accurate.
Always worth a re-test if any reading isn't what you would expect.
Was any alcohol involved?

If you are not on any strong meds for diabetes, then there is no need to worry about going too low. Your liver should sort you out, just as it would for any non-diabetic. I am wearing a Libre sensor at the moment and had a low of 3.2 in bed last night, and was in the 3's for an hour. I had no idea as I was fast asleep. I was back up to 5.6 by the time I woke up. Thanks liver! :)

no alcohol washed and dried hands I shall test both again shortly
think Im just over cautious and not expecting low carbing to be working so well so fast

when retested mine was slightly higher than non diabetics 3hrs after meal
now this morning I hit fasting 4.2 with ketones showing purple 8mmol/l on my dipstick, so seem to be on the right track
