What's your background glucose production rate?

Yanking a set out during a nap and having a Libre allows you to determine some useless but interesting facts about your diabetes.

My useless but interesting fact is that my body seems to produce glucose at a rate of about 3.6mmol/l per hour, so with no insulin, I'd be in the 20s very quickly!

Quite a disturbing thought...
 
Why is it useless? It's not part of slow acting calculations?

Yeah it seems huge. Do you know the process that the body produces this "background" glucose?

Sadly, they don't measure insulin on the basis of amount needed to reduce glucose level per kg body weight.
