Have you seen operation petticoat? My grand fave film and one which I love. Mr scandi says the blonde who the captain married reminds him of me as I am quite accident prone - cheek!

Yes I've seen that one too :)also with Tony Curtis, I especially like Mr Grant in North by North West ( one of my favourite Alfred Hitchcock films) but I'm digressing now, it's not a Christmas film  Love the oldies Scandi

There are loads of Christmas films that I really like but my favourite one is probably Santa Claus the Movie. It's the only Christmas film that I remember watching as a child.

A favourite film is with the late and great Alistair Sim, as the tight fisted Ebenezer Scrooge ( Charles Dickens') so wonderful and the best 'Christmas Carol' film

The longer ones the better for me .
I can get lost in the action and plot of it all .
No nibbles either - just engrossed in the film !

I liked Crimson Tide too with Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington. Long film, great actors. Btw I've been on board our ballistic missile submarines. The UK's nuclear deterrent is based 10 miles away from Me and like the films they are BIG inside. I also liked the WW2 film, starring Tony Curtis about a pink submarine that saves a lot of female nurses and it was very funny. Well back to Xmas films lol

When son lived in London he used to see Bill Nighy quite often. Unfortunately he refused to pass on my number with the message that he wouldn't have to ask twice.:joyful: He didn't pass on the message when he saw Bryan Ferry either.
