Wheat and gluten

I'm wheat and gluten intolerant. I have notice if I do eat any like some time I just have to have a bit of cake or even some sauces have gluten and wheat added, but almost any processed food for that matter.

I have notice that my BG is always much better if I don't have any for a while. Do you think W&G can make your BG go up? It courses so many problems aching joints, headaches, bloating, makes you tired, I was wondering if anyone has looked into this

wheat is a grain and it contains carbohydrate, so yes, that will raise your blood sugar... it's mostly the carbs that affect your sugar levels.

I'm such a dum dum never thought of that  its so hard to work out food that is low in carbs and gluten free I just can't get it right, like I can eat potatoes as they are gluten free but can't eat them because they are high carbs.

The only thing that is safe is veg and meat and I'm not a great lover of a lot of veg drives me NUTS! I wish I could find a recipe book low carb and gluten free recipes ideas. Not asking much am I. I seem to eat the same foods every day.

If you google divaliciousinthe city you'll find a wonderful blog full of low carb and gluten free recipes. I can heartily reccommend the lemon & almond cake and also the almond butter bread
