A lot of wheat free stuff uses rice flour as a replacement, still exceedingly high carb. And what is it sweetened with...?
I find that my request for a low carb lunch is often mistaken for gluten free :roll:
You could try giving your seaside cafe some of our recipies here I'd be intetested to see the result, and what the cost would be. I think low carb baking is a luxury good as the ingredients tend to be so much more expensive.
