I have to take my meds twice a day. I am interested to know how and when you take yours?
When you first get up? At breakfast, after breakfast etc I start each morning with a better controlled BG this last week, but my blood pressure is still high first thing in the morning. Do you seperate your pills to take at different times, or do you take them in one mouthful as I do at breakfast and dinner time?

I take my met, glic, and small dose ramipril (not for blood pressure but for kidney protection) with my breakfast and another met and glic with my evening meal.

Maybe you should check with your GP when best to take your blood pressure tablets for optimum effect - like I have said I take a small dose with my breakfast but it's not for high blood pressure - I seem to recall my mum used to take hers at about 7pm every evening she wasn't diabetic though

@PNJB you should receive advice from your GP as @lovinglife says. Mine all have directions of when to take. One says at night time (ie just before bed), my Metformin is twice a day and should be taken with meals.

Or if easier your friendly pharmacist should be able to help :)

My doctor told me to take my Metform SR twice a day, with meals. That was too much for my stomach! I now take it 4 times a day (after breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner) plus my Ramipril with breakfast. Seems to work better.

After breakfast I take Lisinopril and Amlodipine for blood pressure also one 500mg slow release Metformin. After my main meal at about 5.30pm I take another 500mg SR Metformin then one Atorvastatin before I go to bed
