When I started 2x metformin got right bad diorhhea again.

I dislike being diabetic and two heavy I am 80kg and want to get down to 50 kg very soon.
Hi to All,

Doc said take 2 slow release metformin and it's given me really bad diorhhea again I was fine on 1 tab per day.
Now look what's happened it's putting me off taking it again.
So if met helping me loose weight insulin putting it bk on so am in a win loose situation.

Going to granddaughters b day party tomoz nice not as won't be able to eat party food.

I've been having big problems with Metformin too so you have my sympathy. I've just changed to the modified release yesterday so we'll see if that helps. I'm hoping that when my bloods settle down and I figure out what is going on I may be able to reduce or stop taking them, as I was only diagnosed in August so am new to all this. I've been taking Colpermin to see if that helps at all.
 
Hi, I’m only newly diagnosed but I was having the same problem when I first started taking it but the doctor told me to take it half hour after food and I have no problem now, I don’t know if that helps or if it’s common knowledge?
