When to change home tester?

Been using it the guts of 6 months now, would readings still be reliable?

I only ask because have had 3 "7+" 9am readings [normally only readings i check this past while]this week and yet my lunchtime pre was "5.1" and 2 hour post "5.9".

It should still be OK. If you're worried ask the meter manufacturer for a control solution.

Is it the type that is callibrated everytime you get a new pack of strips? I have this type(Optium Exceed) and both of mine are still going strong after 3years.

It would be good if you had a backup - you could then check these aginst each other.

I've had my Freestyle Mini at least 3 years and I have checked it with control solution.
I'm sure it's fine
