When to have next HbA1c?

If you got a pre-diabetes result on your HbA1c (confirmed), when would you expect to have another HbA1c, to assess progress?
3 months?
6 months
12 months?

Hi, it all depends on your first result.
If it's high then 3 months
If it's medium to high, either 3 or 6 months.
If it's just above then 6-12 months.

Just my humble opinion!

Hi my father and brother have pre diabetes and they get tested every 12 months but if you want to keep track of it theres no harm in requesting an HbA1c test every 6 months so you can keep and eye on it. Im a type 2 and I just ring up the nurse when I want to get mine checked.
