When to worried high BS when ill

Hi
Ive got a bad cold. I always got them bad as small tubes. My blood sugars rnt controlled anyway even on 3 pills n low carb but im working on them but last 2 days i cant get them to stay below 10. Had high as 24 today but mainly 12.7- 17. When should i worry and get in touch with DN? Havent got any ketone strips left but as type 2 im not sure I need worry to much about them. What can i take to help me breathe n sleep? Any advice or help would b great. Many thanks. I feel lke death! :-(

What you can use to obtain a decongestant effect at night will depend on your blood pressure. You may need to use menthol base decongestants - such as vapour rub - if you have hypertension. If not then a sugar-free cold/cough preparation such as Robitussins or Beechams All-in-One should be OK
