I'm devastated. When I was diagnosed early February my HBA1c was 5.2. I've just had it done again and the receptionist at GPs has told me it's come back at 5.8. I have followed all the low carb advice here and have stuck at around 50g per day and tested and tested. There have only been 2 occassions in the last 3 months where I went above 8 and these were from meals out (to restaurants that I will not frequent again). I have maintained a great exercise regime and I'm not overweight.
I do appreciate that for some people 5.8 would be a great result but I'd rather have my 5.2 back. There's no point in me seeing GP as he maintains that below 7 is an achievement and DN whilst lovely thinks that I've cut the carbs too low (obviously not!).
So as a relative newcomer to all of this I'm not sure what to do now. Advice from the more experienced would be gratefully received. Please. M
