Where do I stand with work and coronovirus risk

I am a wife of a type 1 diabetic and he works in a care home. He has chosen to self isolate at present as he has no symptoms but has a poor immune system. The company state as it's his choice to self isolate he will not receive any pay is there any guidance from government as to him being able to get statutory sick pay whilst of as he is of due the vulnerable environment he works in and the potential for becoming exposed.

This is the 64 million dollar question that the government has not answered YET!

Some will say the NHS will tell you Monday... Don't hold your breath.
