does anyone have any suggestions, as everywhere else seems to have menus that are full of carbs
Fair enough but the above kind of gives a clue that higher carb options are not what’s wantedI can't find that there in the op's post header, which is what I answered with a list of foods available.
On top of the excess of insulin it is already producing... not a great plan for T2 management..No but the extra fat delays the carb digestion and gives your body time to prodoce extra insulin.
No, not in the slightest.Wow so fried bread is lower carb than plain bread?
One day I was served grilled halloumi that had been way over grilled. It was hard but tasted surprisingly good, like toast or fried bread would. I haven't managed to recreate exactly the same dehydrated-ness that the cafe did, but it should be possible. It's one thing that I really miss with a cooked breakfast!
Whereas fried higher carbs give me a peak that is sustained and impacts for longer than the 2 hours so is harder to test for. If you have a CGM that’s one thing, but if you don’t know when your peak is and the 2 hours is no longer reliable I am not sure that it’s a good thingAs above, fried bread isn’t lower carb, but it’s absorbed more slowly so my body is able to produce insulin to deal with it and I don’t get a big peak. Of course you might be different so try……and test.

As a newly diagnosed Type 2, I have started following a low carb diet. I've got dinner sussed when eating out usually a steak and salad but breakfast is another story!
Other than Wetherspoons freedom breakfast which is 12.2 g of carbs does anyone have any suggestions, as everywhere else seems to have menus that are full of carbs or the lighter options are porridge or toast! I know I can cook at home but we like the Sunday morning breakfast ritual of eating out.
Did they work?I've even pulled into a layby in France traveling with my wife & eaten oysters
