Where have all those words and expressions gone ?

When I was little we had 'snooty' neighbours who thought they were better, my mum always referred to them as Lord & Lady muck

When I asked what was for dinner, 3 runs round table and a kick at pantry door, or Russian duck

Early morning, "Mum, can we go out today with our friends"? "yes, but make sure you're back in time for dinner/tea"

Take that look off your face; you'll be laughing on the other side of your face.

Children of unmarried mums were said to have been born on the wrong side of theblanket
