Where to buy Burgen bread

This week sainsburys, usually asda. i think it is getting a lot more popular and we'll be seeing it everywhere soon. It is a nice bread though. Before this i used to have the hovis seeds and nuts ones so wasn't much of a change for me.

I get mine from Morrison's or Iceland both at £1, always get 6 at a time and freeze them.

Waitrose: Oxford Road, Reading
Hana

I saw some at Waitrose in Kenilworth. I didnt buy it as it has the same amount of carbs (16.9) as the organic wholemeal bread i eat. Is there something helpful about Burgen bread I should know please?

My local Sainsburys always seem to stock it, but one word of advise is to check the sell by date, it can seem to be on the shelf a while and is not pleasant when dry!

I thought it was less more like 10-12 carbs? am I wrong? Whatever it is less slikely to spike your sugars I think than other breads.

From memory (at work at moment) it is 11.9g per slice for the Soya & Linseed, the other bread Burgen do (just forget what it is called) is around 16-17g of carbs as lucy says.

Mmmm.....maybe but I much prefer the soya & linseed and it's lower in carbs.

I get mine from Sainsburys. I put it in the freezer and just take slices as I want them. I only eat about a quarter of a loaf a week, maximum. Keeping it in the freezer and just taking as I need, ensures I don't waste any of it.

I'd rather eat a crispbread anyday, and far fewer carbs.

))Denise((, not sure about the carbs, but I know Warburtons do a whole range of stuff that is available at Morrisons that is gluten free, my toddler grandson has Coeliacs and his mother is wheat intolerant.

Lets us not forget Vogel's Soya and Linseed bread.

It is lowish (for bread ) in carbs and tastes much better ( in my humble opinion) than Burgen.

It is even more difficult to get than Burgen bread however!

I get mine from large Tesco,my Tesco express doesnt have it but I got one today from my local Iceland. :)
