Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
Finally getting around to sending a tweet to Lidl about protein rolls.

Not a Twitter specialist, but as far as I can see you need to include hashtags for other organisations you want to involve, plus generate one of your own that everyone can use and follow.

So:

@LidlUK @DiabetesUK @Diabetescouk @theresa_may @HackneyAbbott

#SaveTheProteinRoll #diabetes #lidl

The Lidl Protein Roll, with only 9 grams of carbohydrate per 100 grams, is a mainstay in the diet of of many people with diabetes.

It is still available in some stores but an increasing number of stores across the country are no longer selling it despite the demand, and are saying that it is no longer available to order.

Please realise that the protein roll is very important to people with diabetes and ensure that it remains part of your regular bakery line. For may it is the only reason that they shop in Lidl instead of other more convenient supermarkets.

__ ends __

Please add/modify the message and add any more Twitter accounts you may think appropriate.

Edit: update hashtags

Edit 2: think #keto and #lchf may alienate more people than they attract.

Thanks @LittleGreyCat .

I’m also not a Twitter buff, but have tweeted. Your text was too long, so I edited as follows to get within the character limit:

@LidlUK @DiabetesUK @Diabetescouk @theresa_may @HackneyAbbott

#SaveTheProteinRoll #diabetes #lidl

The Lidl Protein Roll at 9g carbs/100g, is very important to people with diabetes. Please keep it. For many it is the only reason that they shop in Lidl instead of more convenient stores.

Wondering now about tweeting the text then retweeting to extra addresses.

What was the name of that Welsh MEP that wrote to Theresa May and wants the current dietary advice overhauled for diabetics? It is all on another thread, which I can't find. He might be a good one to tag.

My efforts, slightly exaggerated with the millions. But it could be... haha!! Give it a good whack when the panic first started weeks back. Loads where tweeting Lidl then too, they still are now. All they’ve done in my store is replace our hpr’s with white stone baked rolls. 5 for £1 same shape as well. A38C9477-7C95-446A-8596-42CE02EB1964.png

Just added a couple of tweets, including the petition.
