admin , i am Charis1213 i had this account a few years back and couldn't remember the details to log in so i made another as desperate for help with lchf last November. This morning i couldn't log back in under Charis so tired to get admin to help but they didn't believe who i was and said the email address i used for Charis wasn't the one I was using , I don't even know if I made another email address up because i was so stressed and needed help .
I want to prove to admin i am not a fraud trying to access the forum :(
 
@WackyJacky64 it’s surprising what you can find on www.diabetes.co.uk. Unfortunately, it sometimes seems to be hidden.
Click on the “Members” menu at the top of the Forum web page.
Select “Notable Members”. On the right hand side of that page is a list of “Staff Members” including Administrators and Moderators.

Alternatively, just type “Administrator” into the Search box at the top right of the page and on the right of the results are all matching members.
 
@DCUKMod one for you I think? DCUKMod is overseas at the moment so in a different time zone. Please be patient whilst waiting for her reply. I do know that two accounts aren’t allowed, so while you are waiting for her reply perhaps you’d like to condsider which account you’d like to keep.

It has to be this account as I do not know what the email address is to the other one, It wasn't done in deceit i couldn't remember the password to this account and i was desperate to get advice.
I tried to give information of who i am via email but it wasn't enough .
I also mentioned that i had this account when i joined in my name Charis .

You can be confident that Admin is aware of your correspondance, and this thread.
However, since it is outside working hours, and we are entering the weekend, please do not expect a rapid reply.

Thank you I am not in a hurry , just wanted to sort it out , also its a miracle I actually remembered the password to this account .

@WackyJacky64 - I understand this is already with HO Admin. That is the route to resolving your challenges.

If you have forgotten your password, there is an automated process in place to rectify that, whereby an auto generated email is sent to the email account associated with your forum account.

I feel sure all members appreciate there are security protocols that need to be in place to protect this them, their content and the site.

There are plenty of secure password managers available to download for computers, phones and tablets. The one I use is KeePass 2 which is free.

Having a decent browser is good as well Chrome remembers the forum login info I want securely.
 
Yep. I've done that. Created a new email account then forgotten it due to not being even similiar to.what I'd remember.
Oh yep. Forgotten the email address numbers and letters. I had to just abandon it.
It taught me never to create an email address too wacky for even me to remember. Humf!
Luckily not done on here though.
I don't think its easy to remedy if too much of the detail is not remembered.

It sounds like you should be ok if using same devices. Good luck. :)

This is why a GMail email account is preferred to the ISP email account for using on logins, it's there for ever unlike a ISP email.
 
I use my phone as it stores my login details and I am logged in all the time so I don't forget what they are and I get back in to resume what I was doing before I go out for the day and I can just get back in again later and the last time I did that forgot my login details I ended up writing everything down so now I leave it to my phone and I have it all logged in ready and I am security conscious so I don't let anyone else near my phone or touch it nor do I need to write anything down now for different websites or mobile phone apps
 
Mind you with the opera browser if you go into settings then Privacy & security passwords and click on offer to save your passwords a list of sites with saved passwords will come up and you can view associated passwords by clicking on the little eye icon next to the password.

This the way to go with Chrome as well.

I also understand what you're saying , I tried to register in the email address I have been corresponding by and it says that the email already exists for this site from me , so it can only be Charis1213 , I also tried resetting the password but then it tells me no account exists at the email address ???? I can't understand that part .
