Good job all round folks. :)

:DBesides all of us being in different time-zones I also currently have very odd sleeping habits; but, I promise to hang-back for a while.
Thanks again!
Btw, Frankie was never one of my favorite singers despite his popularity in the States. I actually liked him better as an actor than as a singer, except for when he was very young and just starting out. Of course I hadn't been born yet, and that was my parent's generation. I liked looking at pics of him when he was a skinny kid.
Thanks again, folks!

A famous female without any makeup
You would walk right past her and not
realize who she was.

Wonder if it was her Georgie Fame
was singing to all those years ago.

FatGenes, he was a very professional actor wasn't he, I enjoyed watching him in films.
I admired his music and thought he was a fantastic singer with excellent voice control.
But in both cases he could never control his viscous temper.....correct?

I only ever read biographies and he was someone who always got my interest.
The latest bio I read about him was written by his last wife, Barbara (Marx)

She mentioned his temper and an experience she was confronted with during the
very early days as she was getting to know him, before any romance blossomed
between the two of them.

It was a serious but funny incident.
I can't remember it word for word but she was invited along to his house one evening.
Later, they were playing Charades which obviously required a time keeper.
Frank chose her.
He lifted a clock from the mantelpiece and handed to her. She held it on her lap and as
the game progressed she had to shout time on Frank.
He was annoyed about that and flew into one of his notorious tempers. He apparently
grabbed the clock from her saying "who said you were time keeper"
She had just started to say "you did Frank" when he grabbed the clock from her and threw
across the room.
One of his entourage looked at Frank and said "well I know what that one is.
"Oh yeah" responded Frank!!!
"As Time Goes By" came the reply.
Frank convulsed in laughter and the heat of the moment simply melted away.

I thought that really very funny. :playful:

Yes, well, Frankie was always full of himself. The only person who had truly humbled him was actress Ava Gardner, the subject of his unrequited love.

I was a Rex Harrison fan when I was a kid (even though he was old enough to be my grandfather) and still am.
I read a story in one of his biographies in which he threw a punch at Frankie because Frankie had goaded him. It is was a male ****-fight brought about by competition over a woman's attention ( Ava Gardner's) . Rex decked him and Frankie went sprawling. The next day flowers were sent to Frankie's room with apologies from Rex. Always the English gent ! They actually respected and admired each other, cut from the same cloth, despite the nationality difference. "Alpha-male" men. :smug:

I have sleep apnea when I'm overweight, and it's not as bad now that I am losing weight again.
Cheers:) FG

I agree with 2christine to. it is Cher
images

Not to sure what clue Georgie Fame was singing about " Bonnie and Clyde were pretty looking people
But I can tell you people
They were the devil's children" or maby the B side "Beware of the Dog"

Cher

Both Cher and Georgie Fame had hits with the song Sunny in 1966. Could that be what the clue is about?

Congrats to Fat Genes

I agree it's Cher.

Just a thought, to what is one basing one's experienced experience of guessing the "Who" on this particular "Who" occasion?

And if you can decipher that, you deserve a coconut as well. lol
