Who are they?

Now then, when I was a teen in the early 60's, like countless others
I enjoyed meeting all me friends to listen to the jukebox while sipping
coke in those long gone happy cafe days. There was a slight rumour
floating around in the background regarding this young lady.
(who was older than in the image at that point, of course.)

I refused to believe those rumours but then, in the
90's I discovered those rumours, were in fact true.

* Edit....sadly she's no longer with us.

Bette Midler.

Think you're right there....

Hehehehe:lol: Glad to be of service:smile:

The clues floating etc; makes me think of " Esther Williams "and there were rumers about cross dressing by Jeff Chandler, her lover I think.

I will go along with the clever people above.

Dusty Springfield ....final answer.

Bette Midler is still alive as far as I know.

I unashamedly admit that I have lost the plot, the whole plot and nothing but the plot!

Ah well I wasn't far out, just 3600 miles.

Now think Catherinecherub is awinner.

Roy.

I will agree with everyone who said Dusty Springfield.

Well done Catherine if you are right....

Does this help. 8)

Dusty Springfield

But the next one?
Hah, beyond everyone's reach.
So put that in yer chocolate pipes
and smoke it.

...

Exceptionally well done folks.
But, the question on everyone's lips....
How'd yoooo guess so quickly catherinecherub.
Hmmm?

catherinecherub.
Thundercat.
Squire Fulwood.
izzi.
zolabud.

Well done Catherine.

You got a 'Who Are They' medal.

Very coverted are those.....

Waiting with bated breath Willie for the next one...

Now Delaney had a donkey
and it was really wee,
so he put it in his garden
to let it have a pee,
but when it saw a dog out there
it gave it such a fright,
that it ran into the house again,
and did a great big, sneeze.

And there really are wee donkeys out there.
Am I correct, or am I correct, dear folks.

Tempted to say Paddy McGinty but I am just celebrating outZolaing Zola.

Val Doonican.

It has to be Val Doonican ... but he obviously hadn't started wearing his famous sweaters at the age he was in this picture.

Val Doonican.

Your are the best Squire,
I saw Val Doonican while searching and completely ignored him while sleeping on the job.
Roy

2.39 !! In the morning !!

Now then, Clues.

Irish.
Possibly a dwarf.....
But of course the donkey clue points to Val Doonican which is the first person I thought of before I saw your answers.

So I am going to say Dave Allen.

Not that I recognise either of them from that photo.....
