You won't believe who this evil man is.
Thank the good Lord he's he's no longer alive
however, he should never be erased from history.
(Hmmm, mayhap that clue's too good, ww)

Aaah, you deserve it Thundercat.

willie.

Willie that clue was rather easy, but nothing to write about.

It is Tony Blair's possible relative " Eric Arthur Blair " better known as !

Jimmy Saville....

George Orwell.

I have found the piccy with him sporting a Hitler moustache.

It is George Orwell ... I would never have got that one.

George Orwell wasn't evil was he? What have I missed? Lol xxx

I just took it as part of the clue. If he was evil then the Minitry of Truth would have re written history to cover up the fact.

He couldn't have been too evil if he gave us all the warnings in 1984 and Animal Farm.

He wrote a poem called "The Lesser Evil" and there are themes of evil in 1984. That was my interpretation of the clue anyway. Today's governments would probably like to have access to the memory holes:)

Ah thank you! I'm going to re read 1984 as i last read it in erm 1984 when I was 14! So I didn't get all the messages within it. I will also look up the poem. Thanks everyone! Xxx

I read it when I was 14-15 when it was the set book for my English Literature O level exam.

I shall be reading it again too as I don't remember much about it.....

Things you learn from this thread..... Love it.

Hope you're on the mend Willie.

Forgot to thank you for your comment zola.

I'm ok, just desperate to get the new lens prescription
for my specs.
The next appointment at the hospital is next week on
the 10th, so I'm hoping to get the all clear when I attend.

Can't wait, I've to use eye drops 4 times a day.
After the drops are in, I've to frequently use a magnifying
glass to read and see to the text on the screen.
However, despite every thing, I'm still pleased I went
through with the small op.

Willie, I am sure George Orwell is Eric Arthur Blair. Cant I get a wee or 1/2 medal.
( or was I just trying to be a clever sod jumping the gun just for the hell of it for the sake of a pen ) :)

I looked up Eric Arthur Blair and George Orwell came up straightaway.

Seeing as I wouldn't have got it without Izzzi can you give him my medal Willie....
