Hi just wondering who looks after your diabetes care. The nurse in our practice does mine but not confident in her abilities. I have spoken to her as I am on the languid solo star at night along with my insulin through the day. This is a bolsus one so acts all day but worried because after having my supper, when I test 2 hours later my bloods are high. By morning they are normally down but worried ed as th hey are high for a long period in between.

Hi donrobo, and Welcome!
I am fortunate enough to be under the care of a Diabetes Specialist Nurse ( DSN ) who is wonderful, through the diabetic unit at my local hospital! I still see the practice nurse annually, to check weight, pulses, that kind of stuff, but with my DSN I can 'drop in' to see her, or email any time!
It is important for you to get your basal dose right, as the rest will follow if you count and inject accordingly!
Have you discussed your concerns with your GP?

Therefore if your unhappy with the care under your practice nurse then ask for a referral over to your local hospital, your gp may be the best person to ask to do this for you.
