Self absorbed and rude people! Motorists who are oblivious to the rest of the world, and really don't give a ****!
Just wondering how many of you own a Wii, and if so what games do you use, that is assuming you count Wii fit as a game? We have some sports games, hubby not up to lots of walking as been diagnosed with Parkinsons at just 59, we do walk but not great distances, I also have beginning of proximal neuropathy and feet/legs will let me walk but let me know about it afterwards LOL - but the Wii certainly helps out. We especially love the Golf, very realistic and definitely uses muscles and energy, very competitive, he hates to lose :D

Great for fun and additional exercise, after gardening or even proper walking or even when we don't manage to get out, especially in the snow - if you can remember that far back LOL

Wii is great. I love mine. The Wii Fit balance board is awesome (although the missus uses it much more than I do!)

Just make sure you tie the strap to your wrist tightly. There are entire websites devoted to injuries/mishaps involving the WiiMote!

Re: Who owns Wii? Fun 4 all inc cat

LOL you don't need to tell me the dangers of Wii remote - you should see my husband's golf swing, - luckily he has good use of his right arm - if he let go I think tv would be smashed and I stand well clear.
What is really funny is my - usually very lazy moggie - when we start prancing around with the golf and tennis - she runs around like a lunatic too, not sure if she wants to join in or if she thinks we are going crazy and if she can't beat us - she will join us :D But then on the positive side, even cat getting exercise with the Wii :!:

PS see my cat in a 'non-Wii' mode on my avatar :D

Not for me I'm afraid, if I wanted to stand in my living room waving my arms about like some whirling dervish I would simply open some windows and encourage a few wasps in.

Or take up Morris dancing

Just kidding, if it works for you great :D

I love my wii too, I do 30 to 45 minutes a day on the Wii fit a mixture of aerobics yoga and muscle exercises, i sometimes do the ballancing exercises (do that with the whole family as it can be fun) and last week i bought a game called your shape, i only manage 15 minutes on that and am doing that every other day, you really feel like youve had a good workout with that one :D I'm wanting to get the Wii fit extra now.

I don't use a wii fit as I'm able to use my gym membership - but I love the irony of getting fit by staying in playing a computer game!

I have a wii fit and enjoy it thoroughly. The other half does the jogging thing round the living room! I prefer the step but it is all good fun and if it raises your heart rate it can only be good for you!

That doesnt surprise me, my son often complains of hand pain when he's been on his xbox for long periods, i think we are safe with the wii though as its your whole body exercising and your not doing anything with a controller pad .

Hi Sid, Quite understand where you are coming from, that is just how I viewed it - my husband bought it unbeknown to me, it is so much better than I ever expected :)

Yes your right everything in moderation is good, you are prompted to take a 15 minute break after 30 mins on the Wii, and you get prompt along the way wile your exercising to drink water and not to over do things if you become tired, and during the muscle exercises it tells you not to strain yourself, I Love my Wii

Yep, I got a Wii as well, currently hold the bowling cup.
My neighbours come around once a week for a Wii night. I of course practice every day for an hour. Good excercise !

I love the bowling, used to play a lot until we got the Golf, now addicted to that :D
