Hi,

Just wondering is there anyone who doesn't get strips on prescription who uses one touch ultra test strips?

I have two pots of 25 that i don't need as i've changed meter's to use with my insulin pump and im planning to use an optimum xceed as a back up as thats what i'll be testing for ketones with.

I know it's illegal to sell your prescriptions, not like i would sell them if it wasn't! just wondering if i could give them away?

The expiry date is jan2012, theyre not in the box but i havent opened the pot. i'd raher they go to someone who needs them than just chuck them in the bin?

PM please if you would like me to post them to you :)

you could offer them to a type 2 or if no one takes you up on your offer stack them on e-bay and give proceeds to charity (prob not worth the effort) stick to first option! i'l shut up!!!

Oh how nice of you, OP

I don't use them, but agree with ewan about offering to some needy T2 who doesn't get them on prescription!

Perhaps try posting in the T2 section where it could get more views?

Shame there aren't more generous people like you in the world :D

Hope you both have re-distributed your one touch goodies. I am a T2 who gets some (but not enough) strips on prescription and use one touch, but I didn't ask for them as I can afford them from ebay and hoped someone who could really make use of them got them.

Many Type 2's are not encouraged to test by their HCP and have trouble getting strips prescribed. There are many on here who have had their strips taken off their prescription even when they were originally given them.

On no that's awful. My nurse is good about things like that, she makes sure i've always got plenty of test strips and lancets.
