according to the accu-chek site they have/are changing strips to read plasma blood rather than whole blood. This can make a 10% difference in results....
Not really. Nothing needs to be changed. It was posted on here some while ago, but it doesn't hurt for those who haven't seen it to be reminded. Meters work to a tolerance of + or - 10% so really shouln't cause too many problems, if any. Just something to be aware of.
Yes indeed, this is old news and it makes no difference whether your meter uses a coding chip or test strip drum, the automatic coding feature means that the change is made conveniently though the actual test strip. The meter does not have to be replaced and the test result will indicate the measurement correctly.
