Why are my numbers high?

Just to add to the above, on an earlier thread you were directed to the site's low carb programme and said you had logged in. Have you started with it?
Yes I have, thank you, along with changing the types of food I'm eating I'm trying to adapt to eating 2/3 meals a day rather than grazing/snacking which is a major challenge in its self for me

@Loukay1

Here's a link to a thread where a few people 'log' what they eat each day (including me) I have had some really great ideas from the other posters --> http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/what-have-you-eaten-today.75781/

A couple of things I wish I'd known when I was first diagnosed:

Lidl sell a really nice high protein roll - its triangular and dark brown and sold in the 'baked in store' bread bins - many of us diabetics can tolerate them without much (if any) of a spike in BG.

Potatoes: Roast celeriac is lovely with a roast dinner. This recipe is better than mashed potatoes --> https://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2012/01/better-than-potatoes-cheesy-cauliflower.html

Try to focus on what you can eat rather than what you can't

Keep to red wine or very dry whites - beer is often called 'liquid bread' because of its carb content

If you want to drink low sugar or diet drinks when you are out make sure you see the bottle/can and avoid completely if it comes out of one of those gun dispensers.

Have you had the welcome email from @daisy1 - full of really great information and advice. :)

Thanks very much, that's really helpful & no I haven't had a email but that's probably because I was really rude & didn't introduce myself & just started asking questions, sorry x
